OilCorp falls under MAIN Market listing rules. Posted is PN - 17 just to clear all the doubts. Added on September 24, 2009, 10:55 amQUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 24 2009, 10:36 AM) If not mistaken, company doesn't have core business is not in PN17 category, generally, PN17 is for financial difficulty situation one. While doesn't have core business is not falling into financial difficult, it is like something GNxx. There are two types of listing requirements rules.. PN = main market GN = ace market Listing RequirementsThis post has been edited by aurora97: Sep 24 2009, 11:00 AM Attached File(s)

QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 24 2009, 11:07 AM) OK, thanks for the correction. I taught PN17 for financially distress only. Thanks aurora97 for the updating. actually default of payment pursuant to 2.1(f) [ cross refer with PN 1] is the most common, in actual fact PN 17 captures a whole variety of events.

is OilCorp worth it?
+ve Assumptions 1. LARGE Receivables will be recived to pay of Sep/Oct defaulted interest. 2. Bursa accepts OilCorps regulation plan. 3. Lenders gives the grace period requested.
1 & 3 will be most crucial to OilCorps survival.
its a gamble with many possibilities and outcome.
either total loss or profit, only ppl in oilcorp will know.

Funny...
Bjtoto i bought on 14 Jul to date 24 Sept gained about 4.5%
Bursa i bought on 11 Sept to date 24 Sept gained about 3.6%
Now i am abit concern at the rate Bursa is going, with such momentum the reverse i dare not speculate.

QUOTE Allocate RMX0k-X0k for each lot, go long on the next quarterly month, have cut loss target of 3-5% (30-50points).
Or buying ETF itself or unit trusts would still be a better option? I got this question from a forumer. The honest truth is, i am a bit skeptical about ETF especially when its issued by KLCI (i would probably pick up ETF's belonging to HSI, SGX and other major Exchanges)... due in part its not tested, low volume/liquidity issue (?). The Major Benefit of an ETF of course, u enjoy the basket of heavy weights rather than having to buy each and every single counter. If you ask me, i personally won't invest in ETF. Between ETF, Unit Trust and Reit, my ranking is as follows: 1. Reit 2. UT 3. ETF oh btw i am also a licensed UTConsultant This post has been edited by aurora97: Sep 25 2009, 10:42 AM

QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 25 2009, 10:45 AM) ETF is a good target, but you must have high liquidity because if not, the ETF share price can be skewed and not following its real intrinsic value which make liquidation or sell time become difficult or you are not selling at its or near its real value, which is frustrating for the seller that need the money. At current stage, locally and especially for minority shareholder, Reit advantage > ETF. A stock with higher liquidity, the higher chance the share price will be "right" to its fundamental issue. I think low liquidity partly Bursa/Trading Participants fault not promoting it to investors, only a handful of ppl know what it is all about... even nowadays more ppl know about stock trading & warrant + futures. Most Unit Trust companies are already on the offensive, literally pushing ETF off the cliff and staking their claim on their already "proven" performance. When in fact ETF can be more advantageous compared to UT... Perhaps as a hedging tool if most companies a Investor bought belongs the basket. (thinking about it) Like the initial launching of Reit, which received probably less than a warm welcome compared to now "everyone wants a piece of the action". ETF's time will come.. probably 5-10 yrs down the line or may be worse ..
