oh well, it was a indeed a below par performance but one moment of brilliance from yuri to malouda to anelka still earned us 3 points.
WE'RE GOING INTO THE KNOCKOUT TOP OF THE LEAGUE!
hmmm will ancelotti field in more youngsters in the game against APOEL?

im half conscious while watching the 2nd half, probably missed the goal... . anelka's has been threatening porto's defender since early game, he was fantastic and incredibly fast too. definitely deserved the goal!(he won the Golden Boot for a reason ) zhirkov in the other hand is very quite through out the game, no? im afraid he cant handle playing with us, maybe he needs time. the fact is, i like his style. and im starting to miss lampard... Added on November 26, 2009, 1:16 pmQUOTE(kink_ass @ Nov 26 2009, 03:49 AM) drogba's starting. Check out ivanovic's new haircut!

mikel cannot be compared to essien in every aspect yet. but i think its okay, he is picking up real fast. he'll match essien one day. at the moment, i think essien is still miles better than mikel in terms of holding, attacking and defending.

Yup, I think Mikel havent scored yet this season, he barely had a good game . I guess he needs some more time. This post has been edited by HumbleCMY: Nov 26 2009, 02:30 PM

not playing up to our standards eh? only managed to catch the second half but i could sense an air of 'saving it for sunday' from the players. its not a good excuse, but most importantly we're top of the group and can look forward to borini/studge/kakuta getting more time to dazzle the crowd vs apoel! saw some great runs by zhirkov today, but malouda surely looked like he's out to prove a point. whipped in a good number of deadly crosses and finally one of our attackers managed to take advantage. nico deserved it. didi was one of them who appeared to have one eye on arsenal, with some unusually poor touches. essien came on and injected that urgency we needed badly, plus it was good to hear porto's crowd applauding deco and riccy as if they're still donning the home colours the former was quite poor though. even within my short observation. oh and how nice to see utd's great unbeaten home record in europe broken by besiktas of all teams. this exemplifies the points we made about carletto's ability to know when and where to rotate. an example of poor rotation? that was it at old trafford right there. i'm placing a vote for malouda to start at the weekend. but i'm not sure who to sacrifice.

deco definitely shouldnt start against arsenal. he performed really badly. we need to field in the best for the arsenal game. if iva wants to start he better show what he can do in training before the game because i think he's the best right back we've got now altho he was really really bad last night. buck up iva! essien should take the anchor role and switch with bally on occasions. joey should take the tip while malouda or zhirkov can take the left midfield. malouda has my vote for now. he whipped in 3 crosses across the goal and only one was converted. the strikers should have done better.
