Dear all,

I'm currently dating a guy who doesn't like to drive. Other than for short trips to a few familiar places, he'll suggest we either take LRT, taxi or that I drive (either my car or his). His car is rather old too.

The thing is he is not a useless bum or anything like that. He is intelligent, open-minded, has a decent career, is a successful investor and so on. In short, he has his oddities but is quite a good catch  tongue.gif

My question: is it normal and socially acceptable for a girl to drive her boyfriend on dates?

Girls, your opinions please.

seriously, i hate such guy. but, if you love him & you don't really mind like how i do, it doesn't matter smile.gif

I totally prefer my gf to drive. Some of my male friends did brought it up as a "you're a *****" issue. But it didn't bother me. Totally love being fetch by my girl. Screw those who think it's socially unacceptable.

unless he's one of those passenger drivers who tells you to speed up, slow down, look left look right etc. then it's no big deal for me

*
Nah, he's a well-behaved passenger. Not a control freak at all tongue.gif

however, my mom, has been driving my dad around for years. whether they go out for dinner, go office, go kl or wherever. even long distance convoy driving like to china or thailand, my mom will mostly drive. my dad only drives when he's going out for lunch by himself or when he really needs to. most of the time, me, my mom or my aunt will ferry him around.

My bf is exactly like your dad shocking.gif Except he does drive to work.

If it's short distance or if he's familiar with the place, he'll drive.

If not, he'll suggest we take taxi.

that's because u and ur bf dont work in the same office. tongue.gif
both my parents work in the same office so normally my mom will go office earlier then after she go bank and all that in the morning, she'll come home and fetch my dad go. or either me or my aunt will send him there.
