better.change......before its totally flat..... brows.gif

Yaya.... when it totally flat you will headache on looking here and there, some more if you park at shopping complex it will make your day turn bad.

I think is not hard to notice when the battery is going to flat soon, because when you start your car, you can feel that is very hard to start it, and that's the symptom to change a new battery

you need to check for your battery is which type

the first picture is more cheaper, the second picture is expensive. The different is the battery head. Expensive one their battery head is flat together with the battery cover. Those normal type their battery head is protruding。

My car is using the flat one, so is more expensive rclxub.gif

Always drive in short distance, battery kong faster. cool2.gif

Mine also 2years plus, the symptom is the moment crank the starter, short interval delay..I have no idea when it is going to dead, i predict very soon... Nevermind then, if engine stall halfway, call the insurance agent towtruck tow back home, distance less than 15km FOC.  icon_idea.gif
*
hahaha, you better change it, if not you wont know when you can't start your car. Because I have the same symptom like you sweat.gif

But guys, my friend told me that the battery from the original it will come with 5 years warranty, is it true ar?? He told me that when you received that 5 years extended warranty they got stated they battery also got 5 years warranty, if kong can take back to CEO. But I am not sure is this true.

if battery got 5 years warranty, battery manufacturer would go bankrupt already lol The oem battery that comes with the new proton car (Ramcar brand or something sound similiar  laugh.gif ) mentioned 1 year warranty at the battery itself
*
But my friend car got 1 sticker stick there stated 5 years warranty. anyone got the same thing??

battery onli has 1 year warranty...my SA mentioned b4 when i got my car last time...
*
Yes, i also told my friend like that, and he mention to me, he has call to CEO to check and he told me that CEO claim that the battery got 5 years also, maybe the others 4 years proton give gua. hahaha, I am not sure about this, and he told me that, even thought you bring back the original battery to claim, they will charge it back and put it back to your car. If like that, I think better get a new battery, because the battery have charge, i think the life time also not long and I don't want to get in trouble in the morning and running here n there or call toll truck toll my car to CEO to claim that battery doh.gif that's not convenience at all rclxub.gif

When I change my battery, 1 of the mechanic told me that, Peugeot battery can last up to 7 years, and he also told me that, the battery in Peugeot car at least 30 to 40% heavy than the one we get for top quality in the market. and he also said that we can't get those battery in our local market. sweat.gif

both type can be installed... but the different is only the 1st pic u will regulary check and fill in the distilled water...
2nd type is more expensive coz it is maintenance free thumbup.gif
*
Yes, actually both type is the same, but if your car is using the second type, you can't install the first type, because the first battery is taller than the second 1, and the screw also different to install it. I think if you want to install the first type also can, but need to change the installer which grib the battery.

As the first type, they use a steel to grib it and screw from the top, but the second type, at the bottom of the battery there is a place for this battery to screw it, so it can not use the first type, unless you change the things that tight up the battery. But I am not sure it is possible to do so, because if the battery is too tall, it may hit your bonnet and can not close up. biggrin.gif

just monitor them closely not to fill in whole bottle of engine oil which is 4litres....its overfill...and will cause seals to weaken and heavier acceleration/FC.....overfilled is not good but lesser then max is ok
*
Hahaha, if they fill in the whole bottle, then you need to suck it out already sweat.gif

wheel balancing and allignment should do it, and don't cheated by the mechanic to change Camber nut, no need to change it also can do the allignment.

huh, got metal built one? I thought all are made from plastic.

Btw, my steering now jerk under heavy braking, could be disc wrap already. Anyone skim the disc before?

What's your mileage so far?  sad.gif
*
About the brake problem, I have this problem last 2 week, and suddenly my brake come out a metal scrashing sound, but it was not long just few mins then will gone and if you totally stop the car the sound also will gone. Because i was too busy on my work and I have no time to left my car to the stupid proton for checking on my brake so I still driving it to Genting, and when I am coming down, I feel jerking when I am braking.

Last week, I am free and drive to service center for checking in early in the morning 8.30am, I am the 5 person in the que and I just told them my brake problem and my boot can not open and need checking from them, and he reply me I need time to check and replace the brake pads and I think you can collect your car around 3 to 4 pm. shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif What is that!!! just small matter need so many hours to check. you think I am sitting there nothing to do and waste all my time for this small little checking is worth??? So i am asking is it possible finish it with an hour and he told me can not.Since there have so many car to but is kind of bull shit. Then I am asking how much for the brake pads, and he reply RM3++ it could be RM380++ because we are using original brake pads. Wowowowoww rclxub.gif rclxub.gif this is too much. I straight away drive my car to the nearest Ah Beng Tyre shop to check my problem.

When I park my car at the Ah Beng shop, they straight away serve me and I told them about my problem, they said I can check for you now, just less than 30mins will finish. Now I know what is heaven and what is hell. Some more, I ask how much they will charge for the brake pads and he reply just RM95 only, I am using back the proton original brake pads. doh.gif doh.gif I have nothing to said about proton service. What the hell is going on, charge me Rm3++ for the same thing. and Ah Beng shop charge me Rm95. They have open up all the 4 tyre for checking my disc brake and just the front brake pads need to change only. Finally, they have skim my front 2 disc brake for both side, I mean outside and inner side of the disc brake, and it only charge me Rm90. All done within 30mins. Super fast and safe me a BOOM. Now my brake no more problem and I can feel it bite better than before.

So guys, if you want to change your brake pads, don't go back to proton, and brake pads has no warranty on it.

yeap..after my 20k service..i send to my regular workshop and get it change..save time and also i usually buy my own parts and pay the labour which is rm10-20 only...
*
i am also thinking of that way, because it safe a lot in time and also money. Proton labour fees is like Jaw, bite till bone also finish.

RM400 shocking.gif oil i will buy my own and i only expect rm100-200 for SC charge...
if someone didnt mention i also forgot... i never pump the spare tyre from new car until now doh.gif

Actually is more than RM400, at least prepare Rm500 for the major service, and don't be surprise if the labour fees is more than 100
