QUOTE(loong2020 @ Nov 20 2009, 11:47 AM) Yaya.... when it totally flat you will headache on looking here and there, some more if you park at shopping complex it will make your day turn bad.I think is not hard to notice when the battery is going to flat soon, because when you start your car, you can feel that is very hard to start it, and that's the symptom to change a new battery |

QUOTE(! Love Money @ Nov 20 2009, 09:57 PM) you need to check for your battery is which typethe first picture is more cheaper, the second picture is expensive. The different is the battery head. Expensive one their battery head is flat together with the battery cover. Those normal type their battery head is protruding。 My car is using the flat one, so is more expensive Added on November 24, 2009, 2:38 pm QUOTE(ralf @ Nov 20 2009, 10:33 PM) Always drive in short distance, battery kong faster. hahaha, you better change it, if not you wont know when you can't start your car. Because I have the same symptom like you Mine also 2years plus, the symptom is the moment crank the starter, short interval delay..I have no idea when it is going to dead, i predict very soon... Nevermind then, if engine stall halfway, call the insurance agent towtruck tow back home, distance less than 15km FOC. But guys, my friend told me that the battery from the original it will come with 5 years warranty, is it true ar?? He told me that when you received that 5 years extended warranty they got stated they battery also got 5 years warranty, if kong can take back to CEO. But I am not sure is this true. QUOTE(keeplwk @ Nov 24 2009, 04:34 PM) Yes, i also told my friend like that, and he mention to me, he has call to CEO to check and he told me that CEO claim that the battery got 5 years also, maybe the others 4 years proton give gua. hahaha, I am not sure about this, and he told me that, even thought you bring back the original battery to claim, they will charge it back and put it back to your car. If like that, I think better get a new battery, because the battery have charge, i think the life time also not long and I don't want to get in trouble in the morning and running here n there or call toll truck toll my car to CEO to claim that battery Added on November 24, 2009, 4:55 pm QUOTE(heavencloud @ Nov 24 2009, 04:47 PM) When I change my battery, 1 of the mechanic told me that, Peugeot battery can last up to 7 years, and he also told me that, the battery in Peugeot car at least 30 to 40% heavy than the one we get for top quality in the market. and he also said that we can't get those battery in our local market. QUOTE(! Love Money @ Nov 24 2009, 06:07 PM) both type can be installed... but the different is only the 1st pic u will regulary check and fill in the distilled water... Yes, actually both type is the same, but if your car is using the second type, you can't install the first type, because the first battery is taller than the second 1, and the screw also different to install it. I think if you want to install the first type also can, but need to change the installer which grib the battery.2nd type is more expensive coz it is maintenance free As the first type, they use a steel to grib it and screw from the top, but the second type, at the bottom of the battery there is a place for this battery to screw it, so it can not use the first type, unless you change the things that tight up the battery. But I am not sure it is possible to do so, because if the battery is too tall, it may hit your bonnet and can not close up. |

QUOTE(ralf @ Dec 27 2009, 10:29 PM) huh, got metal built one? I thought all are made from plastic. About the brake problem, I have this problem last 2 week, and suddenly my brake come out a metal scrashing sound, but it was not long just few mins then will gone and if you totally stop the car the sound also will gone. Because i was too busy on my work and I have no time to left my car to the stupid proton for checking on my brake so I still driving it to Genting, and when I am coming down, I feel jerking when I am braking. Btw, my steering now jerk under heavy braking, could be disc wrap already. Anyone skim the disc before? What's your mileage so far? Last week, I am free and drive to service center for checking in early in the morning 8.30am, I am the 5 person in the que and I just told them my brake problem and my boot can not open and need checking from them, and he reply me I need time to check and replace the brake pads and I think you can collect your car around 3 to 4 pm. When I park my car at the Ah Beng shop, they straight away serve me and I told them about my problem, they said I can check for you now, just less than 30mins will finish. Now I know what is heaven and what is hell. Some more, I ask how much they will charge for the brake pads and he reply just RM95 only, I am using back the proton original brake pads. So guys, if you want to change your brake pads, don't go back to proton, and brake pads has no warranty on it. |

QUOTE(loong2020 @ Dec 28 2009, 11:02 AM) yeap..after my 20k service..i send to my regular workshop and get it change..save time and also i usually buy my own parts and pay the labour which is rm10-20 only... i am also thinking of that way, because it safe a lot in time and also money. Proton labour fees is like Jaw, bite till bone also finish. |
