To all IAFM owners, why sometimes the engine takes longer to crank up? Any idea what's wrong?

Hi guys! Good evening! Just notice the engine compartment has 'klak klak klak' sound when I am about to move. It's like bearing sound and happens only when the A/C is ON. Any idea?

QUOTE(NOX @ Nov 18 2009, 04:22 PM) hi all.. my dad is waiting for his H-line bluberry tea persona which he will get in two month.. To me, the car looks weird with spoiler and door visor added. I prefer clean line of the trunk. Different people have different taste. my dad already sent the old car (iswara 1.3) to check for puspakom and approved.. waiting for new car now.. can i know what voucher or package do the salesman give normally? buying from proton centre near pasar besar seremban (SA - sulaiman).. this dude kinda a bit clumsy.. like never sell a car before.. ask him also lotsa thing he dint know, need to check brochure many time.. my dad really wanna buy it after testdrive, the salesman didnt even mention anything (such as petrol voucher, service voucher or tint voucher).. just explaining and calculate on loan and tell bout what to do for the exchange program.. and please suggest a good tint brand (good but not so expensive).. *what is the price for a spoiler for persona.. kinda look a bit weird without a spoiler.. |

QUOTE(2fast2furious @ Dec 13 2009, 12:31 AM) its more of like "rattle" kinda sound especially when u do pickup from stand still a little harder rite (low rpm)? Yea mine too. Just a little. I think should not worry about it too much. I believe its just because of the engine tuning being a LITTLE too advanced timing. Same here, mine is like 'krak krak krak..." when picking up from stand still and the car is fully loaded with passengers. What's wrong? It happens especially on a hot hot day....night time usually will not happen. |

QUOTE(alt3ch @ Feb 4 2010, 12:07 AM) hi guy, for those using H-line & SE. If i wash my car / rain heavy at nite time, then the next day morning, when i wanna reverse out my car...that is a "kok" sound from rear break. I checked with SC, the explanation is " when we use the brake, it will cause some brake powder. which whn it wet, and we pull the handbrake. It will cause the brake pad to stick on the brake dics when it dry out. So the next morning, when u release the handbrake, it still stick on the brake disc until ur car moving and it will unstick the break pad dude to the dics brake rotate then generate the "kok" sound". He told me, every rear disc brake ride is same, unless u are using drum type. Is this true? Yupe, the brake pad will stick on the disc after washing and causes the 'kok' sound, especially when the discs are fully rusted. No worries la, it happens only after washing. |

Does anyone notice there's a slight engine pinging when picking up from standstill or during gear change especially during hot days? I'm using RON 97 BTW.
