thx bro, actually called up SA consult with him b4 , but he say new car sure got smell, need time ask no worry, then inform mine no ABS so no such thing as brake makan problem, will def bring SC check by trw, hav to take Emergency leave then.  sigh..

thanks again for ur advise bro, cheers.
*
better send to SC as soon as possible if can tomorrow....new car got smell??..i assume is brake smell...if brakes working correctly..it cause u to rev higher and even a long journey the brakes wont have smell unless you brake hard/brake frequently like coming down from genting then the brakes will emit some smell.... ..tell them the car is dragging..its very dangerous you continue to drive and lucky the brakes didnt fade/overheat if not you will have no brakes.. smile.gif

as for ABS or not...is no relation....as i suspect is the brake caliper didnt tighten or defective...

hey guys, i went for my 10000km service today...it cost me about rm200 in total...>.<... and the most stupid thing that they charged me in the receipt is the MAGNETRAP... actually they recommended me this magnetrap thingy on my 1000km service, but i rejected it since i dun think this product will help much in the oil filtration... but this time, they jz install it in my car without my notice and charge me for it...it cost around rm60~ before they service my car, they only inform me that they will change the usual stuff and use semi-synthetic oil...>.<... feel like kena con~
*
if i were you....i just pay the rest and tell them i didnt insist installing that magnetrap....and tell them remove it before i take any actions on them....without consulting me and install without my notice...normally just service engine oil and oil filter will do..other parts like coolant, airfilter, atf fluid/gearoil u can duy if u can or send to ur own mechanic and change...you get to choose best product and pay with a peace of mind.....for engine oil just do at SC if u want to maintain the warrantty...

2 more rim caps went missing last week  sweat.gif Till to date, i have bought 5-6 plastic rim caps dee.. sweat.gif
*
i bought the cheap ones 8bucks each so far so good....fits tightly compare to the original ones.....try finding metal ones as the plastic will shrink cause by the disc brake it so which is why the cap will came off..

and my car just hit 20k mileage today at 2 year and 2 month old icon_rolleyes.gif
going for 4th major service soon...
how much for the labour cost? i read last few pg labour cost rm70-rm100 shocking.gif

user posted image
*
haha...20k for 2years..travel less....mine 2years+ 40k++ sweat.gif ...btw for 20k mileage....

labour-depends on the SC....some is around RM60-70++..some will be more..depend on the SC prepare at least RM400+ for major service......but some items like coolant, gearoil, airfilter you can diy yourself or send to workshop which they wont notice it and you get better products as well...well money spent.. laugh.gif

yeap...as you like...rapidstop, imp formula, bendix titanium...so on....it improves the braking and making the pedal feel much better...lesser spongy

Sort of like "click" also. First 5 mins of driving still no sound. After that the ticking starts. Went to SA, she said she'll have to send to SC to check. Hopefully its nth serious.

Also, front rims are getting dusty so fast due to disc brake particles/dust. damn.. have to wash again...

I did 2 layer tint for side and rear window. Seems ok to me.. Just a little dark. LOLs. confirm wont pass roadblocks.. It is advisable to tint 2 layers together at the same time rather than one after another (according to the tint shop sifu)
SA told me can get next week only.. *sob sob*
*
means everytime you brake got "clicking" sound from the rear??...urs is b-line or m-line??...if yes then its the drum brake sping/hook..
me tinted 2nd layer which costs RM100 on the doors and rear windscreen.....at 1st when installing its not really dark but after that i realised its sort of darkand its 50% dark only and luckily didnt tint the front windscreen so can still see the driver and dashboard.... rclxub.gif rclxub.gif ...hopefully i be allright...haix

sorry...i didnt have any pictures of the drum brakes....erm how does it happen??..when you braking or without braking??? hmm.gif its it like when you braking (steeping on brakes to stop the car) there is the "clicking" sound non stop?

How much does Proton charges to convert our drum brakes to full disc brakes with ABS, EDB, etc....?
*
i dont think you can include ABS,EBD if change to disc brakes as a new system and ecu needed to be change/modify as well to make these extra feature to work......most also you can change to rear disc brakes...is also good enough...its around 1.5k-2.5k if change at proton sc....outside cut shop will cost around 1k.....

to all the sifus here, i am planning to buy a persona(auto) this year....i wonder whether i should take m-line or h-line with just few thousand difference? which is is more worth to buy? hard earn money leh... icon_question.gif

pls advice..
*
if budget permitted...then take h-line..lor much better, came with abs, 2 airbags, ebd, remote rear boot, rear disc brakes which some claim give better braking.......all this cannot safety feature cannot be added from a normal car as it require ECU,and wiring change which is not advisable to do so....and mostly it attract along the components like ABS,EBD is embedded in the system....
