QUOTE(millenia3000 @ Sep 14 2009, 11:55 AM) i somewhat gotta agree and disagree witcha bray... good for wildlife and shooting children too the 640X480 display is brilliant, yes i;m used to the a200 too, but havin 640x480 is definitely a big big plus for me. and bray, how could you say no to 7fps! maybe ur not into sports, but 7fps is definitely gonna come in handy for those water-drop-on-pool kinda shots... stop motion too! |

QUOTE(lwliam @ Sep 16 2009, 03:35 PM) put it this way, you know that opening max wide will soften the image, right? then u stop it down a couple of stops to get sharper image. it depends on the lens, doesnt mean all lenses are sharp after 1 or 2 stops F1.8, u have to stop to 2.2 or 2.8 with f1.4, u can stop to 1.8 which can achieve the same sharpness but with more light gathering ability + shallower DOF Added on September 16, 2009, 3:36 pmanother point is that the optics itself is much sharper for the 1.4 |

QUOTE(Ksano @ Sep 20 2009, 09:47 PM) terms that japanese people use for the blurry effect at the back or foreground of the subject I guess.. the shutter speed will be the same but 50mm 1.8 will focus fastersome people are crazy in love with it... photo enthusiast especially.. while for some people they didn't care about it at all I think that even at 50mm F5.6 for both lens ... 50mm 1.8 can get faster shutter speed than kit lens ... correct me if i`m wrong Added on September 22, 2009, 12:11 am QUOTE(albnok @ Sep 21 2009, 09:19 PM) ianho: Yes, Hartblei tilt-shift lenses with Optics by Carl Zeiss exist for the Alpha mount: Yeah, K7 is a nice one! the latest k-x comes in RED color..SO COOL!http://www.dpreview.com/news/0903/09032403hartbleizeiss.asp The nature of tilt-shifts is that you'd want to see what it is focusing on at F8, at F8 in the viewfinder (like pressing the DOF Preview button all the time.) An OEM tilt-shift lens offers the benefit of being able to manually focus wide open (e.g. F2.8) while setting the aperture at F8, but if you understand how tilt-shifts work this feature is not needed. Funny thing is, I find Nikon far more exciting than Canon. I find the Pentax K-7 far more exciting though in APS-C land. This post has been edited by Sp00kY: Sep 22 2009, 12:11 AM |

QUOTE(albnok @ Sep 22 2009, 12:48 AM) hkhk: Try RawTherapee (freeware) or DxO Optics Pro (not freeware) for guaranteed good Alpha RAWs. oh...which means the in-camera retouch/editing power is pretty impressive!SpOOkY: Not just that - you can really redevelop your RAWs in the K-7 to no end. The extent of how much you can tweak color in-camera is boundless. I din try that feature though. Tried the SR and focusing speed which are quite awesome |
