hezda: Yes, the 70-300mm G is very good. Sharp wide open with nice bokeh.

SpOOkY: I found it sharp at 300mm but you must have sufficient light. Indoors, in a Sony Style/Sony Center, it won't shine. It is also a heck lot sharper than other lenses at 300mm.

Hmm...but isnt quite sad when u need sufficient light to see its performance? is it the same for 70200 then? coz when i try 70200, it is much better..maybe 200mm? confused~

Dont forget testing lens inside shops can give u weird results coz of the fluorescent lighting. The flicker can frighten u when u see a rm8000 lens showing a screwed up exposure. laugh.gif

lol, i was trying 5dmk2 + 24-105mm in vivo city and a few shots were overexposed.....i assumed that something was wrong with that machine because this is the first time a 5dmk2 let me down smile.gif

True true... but lens is a very expensive, just to make sure...
I'll be using it for outdoor shot, I guess this lens won't suitable for wedding...  sad.gif  No money for the 70-200...
Thanks... I'll be getting this lens next month or 2, depending on how fast they can get me the stock.

The longer the end the more it will shake and thus you will need lower shutter speed in low light which will affect quality if you are not using tripod. Besides, you are comparing a FIXED aperture lens with a normal G lens...  rolleyes.gif

I know about shutter speed and i shot it at generally high shutter with SSS turned on. It is not considered low light, besides, i even place it on a table....

clivengu; it's a common issue i guess, like me, although not A700, got the excate same backfocus issue, everything behind would be uber sharp while my focused subject is blurred. and i send it twice to sony malaysia, and they declare they fix it, and they DID NOT.

MemorableStudios: are u trying to use DSLR for HD video? pardon me, but isnt DSLR video mode has NO-AF? smile.gif

not all, some can AF
