MemorableStudios: Having a stabilizer system at RM8K is kinda ironic because it can cost more than a video camera. It's almost like buying those expensive lens adapters to standard video cameras!

ohmyzgod: They probably are clearing their A900s to make way for A850s - after all the A850 will sell a lot more and faster, too.

the stabilizer systems are actually designed for handycam or camcorders... it is meant to keep your camera as steady as possible even if you are running or jerking...

the point here, the DSLR as full time shooting will be difficult as it is not ergonomic as the handycams... therefore, its best used with stabilizer system, and when it is used with the stabilizer system, the ergonomics does not seem to matter much anymore...

Nothing faulty or whatsoever... it is so perfect for me.

Suddenly really need money la blush.gif Really hard to sell it actually coz I love every single bit of its color and sharpness but it is the only "hot" thing that I got now that can give me money by today.

But next week or next 2 weeks I buy it back or CZ terus   brows.gif

Ooo... sounds like you're actually already planning to get a CZ... just need the extra fundings... eh?? wink.gif hehehe... well... all the best then... if it was me, I'd get a Tammy 28-75mm f2.8... hehehe... or a Tokina 28-70mm f2.8

These are test i did on my A700+ Tamron 1750 F2.8. all photos taken using iso 400 , F2.8, 1/50-1/60 sec, AF Single, Spot Focusing. No lock focus n recompose technique are used. I try take multiple shots after i detect the photo has d problem.. n i continue trying to take more of the same subject, even i take 10 photos (not continuous) it oso result the same. Center white Square i PP to make sure thats where i spot focus On

Under the above situation... can a F2.8 lens actually perform without messing up d focus? Or is my subject too small for the SPOT focusing to focus accurately? ?? Or F2.8 cannot be use for this kind of situation ?

Some potential setting that might cause d problem: I am using "Fast AF" instead of "Slow AF" din know i can change tat until just now. im Using Continuous Advance Hi instead of Single Shot advance..

clivengu; it's a common issue i guess, like me, although not A700, got the excate same backfocus issue, everything behind would be uber sharp while my focused subject is blurred. and i send it twice to sony malaysia, and they declare they fix it, and they DID NOT.

MemorableStudios: are u trying to use DSLR for HD video? pardon me, but isnt DSLR video mode has NO-AF? smile.gif

guys..lets say i bought a CPL filter...am i right to say that..it could be placed on my lens most of the time(totally replace the normal UV filter)..or i shd use my UV filter as normal..only place the CPL when i feel its needed(probably for IQ related issue..or scared it spoilt due to wear n tear)

Albert.. The way i do the Test on the lens has no problem right? i mean the subject size on SPOT focus.. etc.. no extreme lighting from d back of d subject that cause difficulty in focusing..etc

Shall i set to "Slow focusing" instead... i will go OneUtama tonight to try shooting using my Kit lens n oso with A100 to check... sad.gif

No. It is not wise to replace a UV filter with a CPL. The CPL will cut around 2 stops of light! This can sometimes make you miss the shot in some situations. It'll interfere with the AF as the light gets cut so no, use the CPL as and when it's needed. Else go with the UV or go naked!!! (I mean the lens, ok? laugh.gif )
