No warranty... but I've heard you can convert it to local warranty BUT half the coverage period only... don't know it's true or not.

Sigh... my 70-300G won't be arrived until next week. sad.gif

guys,

is there any of u owning tamron 70-200 2.8? .. how good is it if compared to Sony 70-300G and Sony 70-200? I have mixed feeling either to get just 70-200 2.8 or 70-300G/tamron 70-200 2.8 with other a few lenses like SP90 and BG .. I know, it is depend on need and my type of photography but I want to know the performance of those 3 tele lenses .. smile.gif ..

really no idea what should I choose .. thinking of getting it by the weekend so that I can shoot thunderbird ... haha .. wink.gif ..

I've done the research before I order my 70-300G...

Tamron 70-200 f2.8 = great IQ but slow focus, bright lens (of course)
Sigma 70-200 f2.8 = faster focus compares to Tamron but IQ is not as good... besides, Sigma QC is a bit...
Sony 70-300G = Small, light and easy to carry around. Great IQ, silent focus but does not have constant aperture so it hunts quite a bit in low light situation..

The sony one is more for outdoor... so it depends on what you need. I choose Sony because I wanted to have G lens and 70-200 is simply too big to carry around (for me)...

MemorableStudios: You know seriously whether the handling of a dSLR is usable for video, since you have a handycam. Also I don't find it convenient to be both a video and stills person - best to be 2 people, or with the video on a tripod.

Wonka: SL-1A - Skylight filter, a bit pinkish. Used for film cameras mostly. Can be used as a UV filter replacement also.

Kul | MoO: The choice of selling the 55-200mm or beercan will become very obvious to you once you have both (especially if compared on the A700.)

marushin: And there I was, trying to Google a picture of the A850 box (because it doesn't have the round corner with Alpha logo inside; instead I think it is squarish.)

Banzai_san: The A5x0 does not have Zone and Brightness as far as I know.

clivengu: Come to a TT and we can test for you.

hkhk: Nice!

shootkk: CONGRATULATIONS!!! And happy early birthday!

plan to use with the DSLR with stabilizer system or tripods... it will definitely suck using by hand held... and i dont shoot videos with the tripod...
anyway, looking at the advantage of being able to use some fantastic lenses and low light capability with creative DOF implementation..
the end result => more creative looking video...

of course i will be doing either video or photo one at a time, but, i rather have two sets of DSLR that can do both video & photo.. than having 2 sets of DSLR (photo) and 2 sets of Handycams (Video)...

of course need to invest in the stabilizer system (around RM8K) and some accessories (good mics, lens hood, large capacities memory cards, need at least a few pieces Extreme III with 16GB, etc etc... dont forget lenses...

weh??? so fast??? how come sell it?? any fault you find while using it? What lens you're replacing it with? If I'm selling this lens, then you can safely guess that I'm abandoning ship already... or maybe getting a Tammy 2875 f2.8 to replace it... hehehe:P

Nothing faulty or whatsoever... it is so perfect for me.

Suddenly really need money la blush.gif Really hard to sell it actually coz I love every single bit of its color and sharpness but it is the only "hot" thing that I got now that can give me money by today.

But next week or next 2 weeks I buy it back or CZ terus brows.gif

MemorableStudios: Having a stabilizer system at RM8K is kinda ironic because it can cost more than a video camera. It's almost like buying those expensive lens adapters to standard video cameras!

ohmyzgod: They probably are clearing their A900s to make way for A850s - after all the A850 will sell a lot more and faster, too.
