G11 zoom more.. Lx3 it has a fast f/2 lens ..if u think Lx3 is big, then G11 is even bigger and heavier.. Lx3 can produce HD movie...overall, got some reviews stating that LX3 produce better pic especially low lighting condition.. flex.gif

i agree with you, Hico. seems that the LX3's screen loves telling lies. so must be extra careful else you'll be disappointed when you finally see the pictures on the computer.

ya...tats why now i adjust a bit brighter but see from the screen like too bright ...after tranfer to pc, the photos look normal.. so really cannot use camera screen as final outcome.. tongue.gif think i will try adjust the screen brightness to dimmer to try it again.. blush.gif

My only regret about not buying G10 last time is that I have a few Canon flash n also wireless flash commander which can be used on the G10. Makes a really awesome system with all that wireless flash capability.

Would you recommend the LX3 for a beginner to photography but one who is interested to learn (only used P&S Ixus camera before this)?

Thanks

why not? i dun find this camera very complicated.. u will get used ot it very fast.. if u wan everything to be auto like other P&S, it also got that feature..if u wan control setting, it got more than other.. so it definately a good choice.. for me, if u r willing to spent more than 1.4k and above, this camera is the best choice..unless u only budget less than 1k.. then thats the other story..

i tried shoot with RAW and Fine together... but take up some space ... so when wan direct outcome, just use JPEG..or else RAW.. rclxms.gif but mostly i only used JPEG..
