Can I just say that I think I've found a new post-workout meal?

Feel free to refer to me as ANJING MARAH. Also, usually people think of steak and beer when they see me around, not eggs.
I'm hanging out on here because I'm reading up the Apple bytes forum trying to figure out if I want to buy an MBP through Machines or the Apple store, bleh. |

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Apr 15 2010, 01:43 AM) Lol, been a while since I got buzzed. But then, it's so easy to make me BUZZED! Zzzzz........ Your vice is shisha. Mine is booze. And steak. And chicken. And lard. To each his own. When the hell you wanna workout together? FF only allows guests on weekends, so that's out. Since you seem to be heading over to Terry's next week, I was thinking of tagging to check out the place and say hi to the big guy (also: the walk-in charge is probably more reasonable than at Celebrity Fitness). Any good? |

I thought weekends were your off days? The last time I asked the CF walk-in charge was ~50 RM. Ridiculous!

I'm doing a chest workout in FF@The Curve on Sunday morning, so feel free to come along and mock my pathetic workout then. (You probably don't want to stick around to watch my post workout meal of a family meal at Popeyes.)
Where the hell do you find these videos. Good God. (this will probably all get deleted come tomorrow afternoon for veering too far into Kopitiam territory) |

QUOTE(mumeichan @ Apr 15 2010, 02:08 AM) Sorry to hear that. Out of curiosity, what kind of physiotherapy was assigned to you after your injury? It doesn't sound like your doctors gave you any, which is kind of random. What exactly do you mean by "working abs"? Sorry if this is a typical newbie question. I would like to do leg presses, but I've no access to a gym. I don't like in KL or PJ and there are no gyms near my place. I can't do squats again because of the stiffness in my legs. I can't squat at all in fact. The tendons and ligaments in my right knee and foot/ankle (sorry I'm not to apt with the terms) have shortened, so has the calve muscles. And it's taking really long to stretch them back. As to my injury well if it's relevant, I broke my right tibia in two and so there's a metal rod there now and that contributes to the stiffness as well. So basically I can't bend my feet all the way and my knees all the way and they would just lock if I tried bending both together. Other than that I'm pretty normal. I was bedridden for like 6 months and I probably started walking in December last year. Now I've enough strength to walk but I can't run or jump. I totally screwed my hips and all the bones there, so I'm pretty stiff there too. When I do sit ups, I can't bring my chest to my knees anymore, maybe that's a problem? I've read that eating is important too. Until like two weeks ago my protein comes mainly from eggs. I had like 2-3 eggs days because I couldn't open my mouth at all so I'd just swallow my food. I just had a surgery to open my mouth, so I can eat some chicken. beef and prawns. I'm not too sure how much I should stuff myself with. I don't and I can't drink milk. I also can't drink protein mixes because they all have some kind of milk derived protein in them too. Also please don't get me wrong, I'm not telling some sob story, just telling you what I can and can't do. |

Men's Health is awful. Almost as bad as the bodybuilding magazines. Actually, pretty much all fitness magazines are awful.
Speaking of which, remember this travesty? ![]() This post has been edited by angrydog: Apr 16 2010, 01:41 AM |

I don't see how anyone can look at a bodybuilding magazine and not laugh at all the pictorials/ads. Especially if you've seen the photoshopping segment from Bigger, Faster, Stronger.

QUOTE(D_Predator @ Apr 16 2010, 02:47 PM) ooo..ok2..i was curious..if a lot of wrong info, then no point la me someimes buy em for new info..thanks bro! Of course it's biased. Who are among the most active health magazine advertisers? ...that's right, supplement manufacturers.but if mags like MF and all, sometimes the review on supplements like bias a bit la.. |

I appreciate the nomination (oh wait, I nominated myself earlier...nevermind) but I'm entirely too damn sassy to be a good mod.

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Apr 21 2010, 07:34 PM) Oh snap, only just saw this. What time are you thinking of going? I'll be at Sid's from 9-11 (depending on my friends) but I can definitely drive over and hang out at Al Safa's afterwards since I live just down the road. Do they have decent food? Drop me a text when you've figured out your plans, yo. |

Y'all should've come, because we talked smack about everyone who DIDN'T show up. LET THAT BE A LESSON LEARNED.
On a side note, I'm still hungry. |

Put on a tiny Speedo, rub on some shoe polish and baby oil, and start strutting your stuff in the mall. If the police come to take you away, you know you're doing SOMETHING right.
