QUOTE(yeah_guyz @ Oct 23 2009, 09:56 AM) DON'T USE SPONGE NOR TOWERL. There isn't pain for a start. As long as your bar is placed appropriately , you are good to go.lean the correct way of placing the bar, you will used to the pain. once get it right. it will rest comfortable http://stronglifts.com/correct-bar-placement-on-squats/ |

Cool, just make sure the athletes don't spend to much time feasting their appetite in Gurney Drive.

Interesting read on the tongkat ali. My concern about tongkat ali is we have heaps of people selling them in Malaysia, but to obtain the purest one among all is just practically tough.... anyone know good sources?

QUOTE(kotmj @ Nov 2 2009, 08:10 PM) I have been emailing with a source who harvests it in the jungle for himself and friends. He said several kilos is not a problem; the question is how much am I willing to pay for raw green tongkat ali? How much should I offer him per kilo? I'm thinking of 5 kg, or about 50 grams/day for 3 months. Talk to him, and organize a group purchase, ask him how much is he looking at, ..or worst case...lets all go in the forest together..hahahAdded on November 2, 2009, 7:13 pmEssentially, I have to pay him enough for him to get his ass off the couch and go forage for it in mosquito and leech infested jungle. Say it takes 2 trips to get 5 kg. Would RM 400 be sufficient compensation? |

QUOTE(reddice @ Nov 5 2009, 11:22 AM) heheheheh...how to say it...chest out..and look at the mirror.. I am all against deadlifting facing the mirror. Why? When you deadlift facing the mirror, you tend to check how your grip is, you tend to look down, loose tightness etc etc...face away from the mirror.bro...make sure the form is correct before u go heavy..put a 10 kilo weight and then practice ur form first p/s : youtube will help.a lot.....and deadlift is so good man.... |

QUOTE(pizzaboy @ Nov 5 2009, 03:54 PM) That's very very subjective. I personally can lift better in front of a mirror because it allows me to analyze my technique at the start position and position myself to use my legs instead of my back. Once I get the feel right, it doesn't really matter anymore, but occasionally I still like to face the mirror to know what I'm doing right or wrong. My point is actually when deadlifting, I like to keep a single point of focus that will make sure I have a good arch for a start, keep myself tight and pull 300 someday.... Some people hate squatting in front of a mirror. I don't really care (I look downwards anyway, helps my hip drive up better because I'm not too arched and thus killing my drive) However, chances are if your technique is already fine, don't bother using the mirror. The mirror's used among weightlifters because they want to analyze at real-time speed, their technique and its changes at whatever angles. |
