Hmm.. but i tot we're not able to to press down the shutter release button if subject is not focus locked or no "beep" sound in AF?
Unless the lens is giving false focused signal to camera?  sweat.gif

Nevermind i go home do more testing first. Thanks anyway!

depends on what AF mode that u are using...
in AF-A - camera decides to use AF-S or AF-C
in AF-S it will be focus priority- no photos taken if focus is not locked
in AF-C it will be shutter priority - photos can be taken if focus is not locked smile.gif

Well it looks similar, but the differences show in 100% of the original photos..
Thus, i compiled the ori jpeg extract from raw using nx viewer to a web host server,
pls dl it n comment on the details..

The download link of ori files r here:
F22 vs F3.5
select free users, wait for 30sec n the download link will appear. extract the files wif winrar.

I think, mayb f22 will reduce the sensitivity of metering thus giv a not-so-clear focus??
I snapped both pic wif autofocus.
for f22, i snapped bout 3pics using the same setting (camera autofocus each time) n hav similar result, which is softer. Mayb it's the metering fault?
*
metering only affects exposure and not sharpness/out-of-focus....
try reading the MTF chart for the lens.
Most people will use f/8~f11 because it is the sharpness and also remember that using f/22 will require a much slower shutter speed (than f/8) hence its is more prone to shake be it wind etc or the building (vibrates esp taller buildings)..
besides, i believe that noise will be more prominent and the NR has to work harder too causing losing some details after applying NR. (based on ur pic which is shot at night).
Correct me if i am wrong.

ya..i got ur point ^^..thanks...coz i'm using the 18-105 mm lens, so if i take  the bottom of the glass then the object to far from the screen...will upgrade the lens once i have $$ tongue.gif...
*
i think what he meant was dont chop off the object.
i would prefer to see the whole glass too, you dont need to change ur lens, just move your angle slightly lower

I think you need aRGB monitor and aRGB printers to see the different color gamut. Have you also tried using different picture controls. There is Standard, Neutral and Vivid I think. I also think you can still adjust each picture control to your liking. You can change the hue and saturation, sharpness etc etc.  hmm.gif

i find the skin colors pretty nice when using flash though smile.gif..the only thing i realized is nikon tends to produce yellowish color hahhha

u used iso 6400 and shutter speed of 1/2000 at f/5.6

why?????
the cat is not moving, i believe 1/200 IS MORE THAN ENOUGH at 105mm with VR on....
your picture is pretty noisy.....
If i were you, I would shoot this using 3 to 4 stop slower...rough calculation, iso 800 should be sufficient..
just my 2 cent.s

If you play with 35mm f/2, you will say 35mm f/1.8 sucks !

Well I dunno about Malaysia.  hmm.gif There are a lot of photos of cemeteries on the net. Some of the cemeteries are also tourist attractions.  cool2.gif

You can check out this link.

I think its important to remember that when you go to a cemetery, to always conduct yourself and accord proper respect to the dead.  smile.gif

Errr ... pasty moon? Aiyah. Must go back and learn how to make proper pizza lorr.  biggrin.gif

hey dun get me wrong, I do agree to what you said:)...I know that some of them actually visit the cemetery in HK too (my friends tour package included that :S)

hi everyone

I'm currently having a dilemma between these 3 nikon models, d3000, d5000 and d90

for what i noticed right now is that d90 have a separate dial wheel for setting the aperture, taking hd video, top lcd panel and the body got build in af motor.

currently i'm using my brother's d90 with kit lens for learning purposes and I actually quite like it. the only complaint from me is that i felt it's quite heavy for me to hold it for long hours

is there a big differences when i take a picture using these 3 camera with the same lens?
sorry for my noob question, as I have very limited knowledge on photography
*
i have tried d3000 and i wont recommend it, it comes with CCD sensor...

d5000 and d90 is pretty similar except
d90 has : top lcd, built-in motor, better kit lens (18-105 vs 18-55 on d5000), 2 dials...that's what i can think of smile.gif.
d5000 has: interesting lcd screen:)

if budget isnt a problem then d90, else d5000 is really good enough smile.gif

better photos? no, the LCD screen will be useful for weird angles (ultra high/ultra low angles) smile.gif...but d5000 lcd has 200k+ dots as compared to d90 with 900k+ dots
