try connect component ypbpr in your lcd. ?

I also just bought my e-Gear last week...

Unfortunately when play .MKV file the is only image display...no sound output..

I can play the file with my PC without any problem..

I also try connect via RCA cable to my speaker also it does not work...

Any help here highly appreciated.....

This player not DTS !! I already mention disadvantage ... still ppl buy.. ~~~

NOT support CRT... also mention N times.



Before buy player.. please check what chipset use. the best now is REALTEK 1073DD

some say they like to use computer to convert to DD mah.. while watching one movie convert 3 DTS to DD..

any suggestion to overcome this problem..??

Otherwise need to sell back this player....

while watch 1 movie, can convert 3 files on the computer..

lousy piece of plastic...dont buy...blue screen on MKV 1080p DTS and wont play my self video cam 1080p MOV file. stay away...i am bringing it back to upgrade to ASUS O . anyone got any reviews on ASUS?

Cant play movie with DTS sound format... no sound..

Hi everyone,

I bought the eGear MP-380 yesterday. Setup it up but cannot get it to work on my Pana 42X10 Plasma TV which I think is 1080p capable. I used the HDMI cable i bought together with an RCA media player but no display. I also tried to use the component cable, it display the menu briefly and then the screen went blank. The remote also didn't work. Tried resetting, changing the HDMI ports, switch on and off, slot it the usb thumb drive, knock here and there etc but still blank screen. It was overall a very frustrating experience. The old reliable RCA media player worked flawlessly (and it gets quite hot when in use that I think you toast bread on the casing) out of the box.

Today I took it back to Thundermatch Lowyat where I bought the Miveo. The service centre guy tested it and found it to be ok. I don't know what he did or what I did wrong. The damn thing work at 720p but still the 1080p resolution didn't display properly. But I'm just happy to see it to be able to display something. My old RCA can't play mkv and mp4 files. So this Miveo is supposed to be an upgrade. The shop replaced the remote and after about an hour at the service centre, I went home.

I setup the whole thing again and luckily I was able to see some output on the TV using the component cables but is limited to 720p for my TV. The HDMI cable still did not work. However it did work at the service centre using the shops HDMI cable. So something must be wrong. Maybe something wrong with my HDMI cable. Anyway, I was able to watch some movies today but after all the bad experience and with so much time wasted that I would not recommend anyone buying this Miveo MP-308.

And the technician told me that if you have trouble and want to reset the Miveo, you must pull out all the cables and usb drives and switch the thing off and on again.

remind~ Egear use outdate old mstar chipset.

new 2nd gen chipset only RM220.

RCA china close soon.. (fake company). Now the new company "Amoi (夏新)"

can i ask u about the 2nd gen mstar chipset?

does subtitle font have a thin black shadow around it? the same one if u play your movie in PC.
because without that it very hard to read the subtitle when the background is bright.

a screenshot of it will be very good. here an example of what i mean thin black shadow subtitle

SO SAD I just found all this problem info after buy already.

I just buy eGear MiVeopro MP-701 from shop at Lowyat KL Malaysia.

I test this player with
1. LCD Monitor Dell 2407WFP.
This monitor is top of line at last 2 year support resolution 1920x1200 & 1080P
Port connector : VGA, DVI, Component, S-Video
2. HDMI-to-DVI Cable
3. Component video

Result of testing, I found some problem about resolution support.
I thing this is Firmware issue and should be provide new Firmware ASAP.

1. Resolution support
Mode 720P able view on Monitor via HDMI & Component
Mode 1080i able view on Monitor via Component only
Mode 1080P unable view on Monitor via HDMI
*even setting special feature 1080@24frame on/off also same problem.

2.After install Harddisk into Player and Format by Menu Function.
when plug USB cable from Laptop or PC into Player.
System will show menu alert, after click OK to use USB Mode already.
I found computer can detect Harddisk inside player, can view folder and files original.
BUT unable to create folder or copy any file movies into Harddisk.
Any idea or suggestion ?

Then I thing after sale support of this Player not expert & fair to Customer.
You should be provide new Firmware for fix issues at channel website
For Customer can upgrade by ownmself.

I not sure same with my eGear MiVeopro MP-701 or not.

Press "Display button" twice time it will change to 720P & 1080i again.
