i agree with joy...perhaps the subject itself doesnt really make a very nice HDR material...traditionally ppl shoot landscape..with clouds..blablabla..to show the HDR-ness..of coz u could be more creative by choosing other stuff....but the one u choose doesnt really look that good to me....the photo is a lil bit too "busy"...and u might wanna straighten it..

Sorry for the noob shots,I had tried 3 different exposures-2ev,0,2ev but the effects dont look too good after i merge them in photoshop. For the secondshot,I made 6 different exposure(dont know the ev,becuz i use shutter speed to control),the effects are better than first shot.I think i might need more practices.Btw,thanks for the criticizes I appreciate of it.

lol..nothing to be sorry dude..we learn from each other here =)

maybe u did something wrongly??usually HDR shows the shadow areas while retaining the highlight areas....but from ur shots...the shadow(black) area remains dark..and the highlight(bright sky) remains bright with not much details to be seen...

need to improve more on ur composition...do some thinking b4 u shoot like what u wanted to show..how could u frame it to show ur subject/message better...for this shot..firstly it looked nothing like a hdr(i guessed its a hdr by the file name)...secondly i cant find the subject(again..from the file name..i guess u wanted to show the sky)...it feels like a picture from a digital camera..and taken by just point n shoot without extra thoughts....

even u r at home..im sure there r lotsa interesting photos could be produced if u do it right....for once i was complaining i rarely shoot at outside..and my house is freaking small..nothing to shoot..but 1 of my friend told me..there is no boring thing on this planet..it just depend on how u look at it..and the way u present it smile.gif

pls note that im not criticizing u..i hvn reach that level yet...but just to tell u how i feel on this shot blush.gif

@achew,ya that was really from a digital camera,I dont have SLR yet.Emmm,as u said it doesn't look like a HDR,would b something to do with the curve?I select equalize in photoshop when merging them. Can u point me why it does not look so noticeable?I found the color is not saturated..probably.

I am new to photography,so izzit the picture composition could be improved if there are no bumbung?
*
opsss...its really from digital camera..haha...but well..no big deal..i've seen great shots from digicam too =)

anyway..to me yes...if u can exclude those antenna..roof..it would be better..but try to find more "dramatic" sky..i feel that for photography..especially on landscape..u just had to wait for the right moment...cannot we go there..we happy..and we shoot it..it just wont bring out the best from that place..try to think about is there any particular time when the sun makes the place looked better...lesser shadows..or more shadows..depend on how u wanna bring it out..the clouds..the sky..blablabla..

u can try to go thru flickrs...search for some interesting photos...see how others compose their shots..u might see some of them see things from diff angle..which make it interesting..

http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=sky&ss=2

for the HDR thingy..im agree with livinzo...try to get the basic knowledge first...get nice composed shots..and slowly work on HDR after that..

lol..did i see my name there?? =p

anyway..its better than ur previous attempt..but agree that the HDR-ness isnt there yet....

also..there r some "halo" effect especially on the edges..u can try to do dodge/burn tool to minimize it =)
