GK
Back 4
Fletcher-Carrick-Ando
Park-Ronaldo-Rooney

We won 3-1 at their place. Nobody seem to complain about the formation then. What's different this time? It was just a bad performance for most players, Giggsy especially. On another night, he would have played better, and created chances compared to that night when he always gets into good position to do something with a pass, but always mess them up. That formation I would saw would be crap against the normal/smaller sides, but against the big sides, is almost a must if we don't want to be overrun in midfield. It's just the way it is. Even Arsenal flood their midfield with CMs.. Song, Denilson, Diaby + Eboue..

i dont like it back then also.. and against barca. we are playing at home this time. looking at style and formation like i said united looking more like dont want to lose rather than looking for a win. very happy for the wins but do we really deserve it like last time. for me united got lucky to get 3 point. differrent this time will be the line up. back then although we play with 1 striker we hv more player with ability to score on the pitch (ron n roon). also this time there nani and valencia on the pitch. nani and valencia more a winger and i believe its best to play 4-4-2 with a winger. park n rooney also can play inside. its just my view.. whistling.gif

We all know that 4-4-2 is our best bet. No doubt. You have to have this in mind, LUCK plays part in every match. Take a good look at Owen's goal against Wigan the other day. It hit the inside of the post and went in. Nani's FK. Kirkland was nowhere around. It boils down to luck.

You can play as good as you can be, but without luck you can't score any. I am content with 4-5-1 formation against big teams. It should be interchangeable to 4-3-3 as our wingers to support our only CF/ST. It bring assurance to the midfield. These days, apart from Fletcher, I don't think others could step up to play that box-to-box midfielder role.

He is our hardman nowadays. It was supposed to be Hargo. But he found that nurses are too cute to resist. So, lets just wait then? Shall we?

no doubt LUCK will always be part of the game.. but there is bigger thing and among them will be ability,tactic,teamwork,determination,workrate.. LUCK is pretty much the last thing u can hope for. owen goal a luck? nani FK a luck? dont think so.. it pretty much more quality of ability. owen hv done it many times before and i believe nani also hv done it before.. he wont be the chosen one take the FK if he dont hv the ability. kirkland nowhere around coz he positioning is not good enaugh.. thats not LUCK.

playing good than hope for some LUCK always better than play bad or just play then hope for some LUCK. diaby own goal thats LUCK. penalty goal also need some LUCK. if it wasnt coz of fletcher hardwork n determination especially on 2nd half the tactic could be a complete failure. defence also good as always.. and that aint LUCK smile.gif

Ferguson rules out any last-minute arrivals at Utd

Sir Alex Ferguson has ruled out any last-minute arrivals at Manchester United before the transfer window slams shut after pledging to "trust" the players currently at his disposal.

Although it seems as if that faith was shaken by United's defeat at Burnley two weeks ago, Ferguson is adamant that he does not need to spend the money remaining from the £80m sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid.

"After the Burnley game, I examined our commitment, but after analysing our failings, I didn't think we were lacking in that area," Ferguson told The Independent. "I must always guard against complacency. Some players can drive themselves on while others are happy to settle for an easy life, but Manchester United cannot afford that kind of player

"We took a lot of flak after the Burnley game, and there was no shortage of suggestions as to what I should do - for example, dashing out to pay through the nose for a big-name signing. The bulk of the £80 million we got for Ronaldo is still there and seems to be burning a hole in the pockets of a lot of fans.

"But you don't suddenly scrap your transfer policy because of one defeat, even if it was a bad one. I have explained our strategy, based on my confidence in our squad with a few new faces, existing players maturing and eager beavers on the way up, and I have no intention of abandoning it. I know we have the right squad and I trust them."

why do we need new signing when the team is complete?

everybody last season up to the task and make SAF headache to choose the players

and this season some of the players still not up to the task, but i believe they will up to the task

why now?

remember when Ronaldo 1st season here, here is damn clumsy and suck

the next season he start to shine gradually and become 80m boy

so i guess, we need patient and no need to press panic button, season is long and this time its tough too with the like citeh and spurs showing that they r serious contender too for top 3 spot!
