I'm not sure whether suitable to ask here, if can't, kindly let me know, I will modify this post.
My question is: Anyone from Johor Bahru, used to purchase jersey from Kitbag and using express delivery (UPS)? And, wanted to know that, will the parcel pass-by Singapore custom first or arrive KL custom there first then only will deliver to my house? As I scare like last time i bought jersey from Subside (by DHL & worth 40GBP including shipping), it pass-by Singapore custom first then at the end I have to bear the custom tax. This time my Kitbag purchase just 24GBP including shipping. This post has been edited by ckimy: Sep 9 2009, 10:31 AM |

QUOTE(teckhooi @ Sep 9 2009, 10:25 AM) @ckimy For the Subside parcel (only worth 40GBP, i don't think it need being taxed), i paid the tax to JB custom if not wrong, DHL receipt only shown Custom Tax Clearance, didn't state more. <- this case ended.Whether Go Through SG or KL Kastam, U Still Need To Pay Tax (If Needed) For Subside Parcel, U Paid Kastam Tax To SG? Now I getting worry with the Kitbag purchase. Cos the DHL people said the JB Custom doesn't have RM500 value & 1KG practice Added on September 9, 2009, 10:39 am QUOTE(nimrod2 @ Sep 9 2009, 10:33 AM) i don't know much about it, but i thought johor was the gateway for the southern region? I didn't pay to SG govt. and why should u pay tax to singapore govt? you're not residing in singapore also? this case hasnt been resolved? I bear for the tax, take it as a lesson lo... QUOTE(schmeichel7 @ Sep 11 2009, 05:43 PM) OK, if you read my previous guide on how custom taxes us.. they have their own currency rate that I believe is not accurate and is slightly higher that the current one. sorry bro... we will stick back to jersey....Don't ask me why. Take a look at my previous guide: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=26145716 You can see that customs have their own currency rate and it is not accurate. So I believe that qspn's purchase could have been flagged becaues it was slightly above RM500 (although the currency exchange rate shows it was below).. Also with 3 jerseys, the weight might also caught the custom's eyes as well..... I hope this thread doesn't become a thread discussing on how to avoid tax...... please remember this is a thread about football jerseys.... cant wait going back home tmr to see my england away jersey |
