^ dont worry about that, you didn't miss anything, I seriously doubt FF13 VS ( which is going to be PS3 exclusive ) is much better looking than FF13 itself.

And we still haven't not seen much screen from the 360 ver of FF13 ,
you can probably guess that the game is probably going to be further 'nerfed ' in order to be fit on there

And so and so, you are still playing the better version itself smile.gif

It's already been nerfed. Toned down graphics, can't go back to places you've visited after you passed a point in the game etc. Not to mention the english VA this time around really stinks a lot compared to X and X-2.

I place more hope on VS13 rather than on XIII cause of the obvious reasons stated.

Opting for multiplatform kills quality and opting to attract more westerners by changing the theme song kills even more.

It sounds like you have already played the game, mind to show us some screenshots

^ Didn't we just had a big discussion on these on last few pages?
The one with lower polygon count in demo was an OLD previous build ,the person who coined that it was a degrade obviously wasn't happy with the port overall.

That URL is posted by me , on intention to clear up the whole downgrade mess smile.gif .

This is a world of evidence ,if your accusation of SE putting down the quality visually, then please enlighten us,
with new evidence. We have every evidence here, still suggesting FF 13 looking better and better each year.

[ the screenshot comparison posted by you earlier was so so .. ancient ,there are of last year.
These rumors have been denied by many people on gamefaqs already ]

Are you sure you aren't just making things up? You even conclude that you can never be able to go back to the previous stage point before playing the game , I wonder ...

And last but not least , I and the fellow forumers here will have the game in 16 days if theres no accidents ,
and I will tell you if your speculation is correct.

@ ffrulz
while You might find some of my replies being sarcastic , I just want to ensure you something here,
we are playing the better version of FF13 (which is the PLAYSTATION 3 Ver ~ ) as of now.

Leave the worries on how to fit the entire thing into HD to the xbots cultist ,
we will be enjoying our PS3 version for time being .

^ According the prologue Chapters , Lightning knew Oerba Yun Fang before the game even took place. She should have met her atleast once .

More information from upcoming Magazines :

* = notable points

* There will be monster that disguise themself in order to ambush the players that get close by ,such as the human-eatting Floras

*In the land of Pulse, there will be creatures on the earth might be fighting each others sometimes.
(we have seen behemoth fighting another a gigantic creature the other day ) .
Player could choose to engage the monster in combat , in which the monster would not have much HP remains ,ensuring quick victory.

*This feature does not exist in demo. When the players have encounter too many monster at 1 time, all of them will be displayed with the exact amount they have encountered in the actual combat scene ,in which will greatly increase the difficulty of the fight.

*There will be alot of mission quest ,in which you get to fight elite monster, these monster could only be encountered in the quest.

*Quests can be repeated, and will be given rank when player completes them.

*There will only be 3 stats, Total HP , Attack power and Magic power > ( no more str 255 ,int 255 etc )

*Will only have 2 equipment slots, Weapon slot and accessory slot .( Similiar to FF10 )

*Crystal board provide upgrades for Total HP, Attack Power, Magic Power and Special Ability.

*Some material can be used to upgrade weapons, some of the rarer material can only be obtained by disarming certain weapons.

*Weapons sold in the merchant NPC have very low power.

*The merchant in game will also be the save point NPC. The items sold in the shop could be connected to the web for upgrades , the merchant NPC will be quite very different than the past series ( Hinting on the existence of the hidden 7th Character )

It has been confirmed, no English subs.

The Japanese version is primarily targetted at the Japanese audience who barely speak any english anyway.
The rest of the asia version, majority of Hk , taiwanese ,china players could understand japanese as well.

Therefore, No english subs, if you want them you will have to either wait for English ver, or Int version.

Please be noted that FF10 Int features Japanese / English subs, with English voice over.

Japanese are not english blind, they can read english on the paper MUCH better than they could comprehend over the Voice .

off topic

Japanese ,especially the younger generation are urged by their government to study English.
So they would atleast have to be able to read decent english , although their pronouncation somehow seems off
( or perhaps very off ).

Therefore , a good piece of advise for you , if you happen to go on a tour in Japan and cant speak a Jap word , bring a pen and paper :0

Write your question for the Jap peeps is much easier than talking to them.
(But then its not like most Malaysian has some appropriate English accent either doh.gif)

There are still quite several months before the US release, therefore I doubt the local Retailers are taking your order so much earlier.

Try again in January of February.

IF you insist to land an order ahead of time , you could try Play-Asia

I suddenly realize the FF XIII thread has became more of a ranting thread than a discussion thread nowaday yawn.gif

bad news for you guys who hoping for Japs audio/English sub.No international version. cry.gif
As asserted by Kitase when he was interviewed in the Chinese edition of Famitsu (p 12). Note that this interview was not in the Japanese edition.

Q: It seems as though this time around, there will not be an International version of the game?
A: In the past when the English version was released far later than the Japanese version, there was time for us to make additions to the gameplay of the game. However, since this time round the difference between the two releases is so short, there is no time for that, and thus we are not considering developing an International version of FFXIII.

They say they do not have plans for FF XIII Int for time being.
However judging from the past experiences, even a spin off FF genre, like Dissidia gets a 'Universe' version, perhaps they might rename the 'international' .

Its not likely for them to Not milk the FF Franchise to the max.

Though 1 thing for sure, if you have a 360, and wish to wait for the Jap ver /Asia ver you might as well pray the sky to rain diamonds.

Wasn't the Famitsu perfect score streak has been way too much of a conspiracy nowaday smile.gif

Look at it within this year, there 4 game with perfect score.

As it is going with 39/40 ,I believe the "$$" bribing review is definitely not as big as it does with other games. Now let's call it a true judgement, shall we biggrin.gif

^ My point is famitsu's review is barely being reliable nowaday, since they give out 40/40 like you flashing out toilet rolls in the bowel business.
