Guys, whats your preparation when you got the game ? If it were me , I would get alot of caffine(nescafe) so i can stay up damn late playing the game and stay the rest of the day playing ffxiii. man im really so hyped up for this game

To me i dont liek playing games like that. Same goes for me in uncharted 2,mw 2,ass creed 2 and prob for ff13 as well, i wanna play for short intervals each time. dont wanna hardcore rush through the game in 3 days. Playing games is like eating to me, you gotta chew slowly to savour the flavour. mmmm yum yum

Im not too sure but i think it works out like this. If you choose for one single shipment, then its prety logical that you would have to wait till SO4 is out frst before your ff13 can be shipped together in 1 box. Am i right? I dont think P-A does "free shipments". Like you pay fedex for your ff13 but expect P-A send u your so4 for free at a later date and so on.

But then again, you have to understand that once you're in it, it's pretty hard to let go off the controller.

That is incorrect. I have seen on multiple cases with play asia is they will split the orders if one becomes in stock before the other, even if the shipping is fedex.

When they split the order they will guarantee that you will have to pay no extra money and still have the same shipping.

The reason for this is
1) they can only charge you once the item ships
2) a item they need to reserve for 2 months for you will hold up both their inventory, cashflow and warehouse space. Doesn't make business sense.

how i see it works is if you made order #0000001, when one item becomes available, order #0000001 will get shipped and a new order #0000002 will get created with the remaining item(s). They will inform you via email and you can see the invoice of the new order including the shipping option + the above guarantee.

The full cost of fedex is charged together with order #0000001 and you will see Fedex for cost USD0 in #0000002.

Hey,u2,ass creed 2 and mw 2 are very good games to which i have had trouble putting down the controller. but i enjoy it even more that i did, rather than sit there for 8 hours striaght.

Can you explain to me the underline words there? How is it same shipping if its a split order? would it be right for me to say that "same shipping" means that the 2 items are shipped under different packages o different times but both are under the same order numbe. correct?

Yes and no. They will ship with different order numbers. If you buy with fedex shipping, the second order will be sent with fedex shipping as well. The order number will change by an increment of 1 ie. 123456 -> 123457

123456 will be shipped with whatever is in stock. Regardless how many times they split the orders (i have seen an order split 2 times for a total of 3 fedex shipments), the total u pay will never exceed the amount you were supposed to pay if all orders had shipped at the same time.

just note that this should only apply to large value items. That USD4 hdmi cable or USD0.50 tissue pack need not apply. P-A is smart in that too.

I guess u must hv more exp wit PA, so, I'll b placing d order then since I edi called Alex 2 cancel. anyhow, from d attached img, wldn't dat apply 2 items dat they hv when u place d order but bcome not enuf stocks thus, split shipment wit no extra charge? does it actually apply 2 pre-order items?

I was told that the items placed in that order were those 5-15 day availability ones.

I am quite confident it will apply for preorders as well as P-A would not want to keep so many FF13 JP @ USD90 of revenue waiting for 2 months (possibly even a different financial year) for SO4 to be released. Delaying the shipping makes their SO4 + FF13 offer a bit stupid right . It is also not honest if they charge you more than the amount shown on the original invoice

If you like you could send them an email to ask how they will handles the shipping for the SO4+ FF13 bundle.

Here's abit of lesser known fact (going OOT here) but I have done an experiment before.

Play-Asia's standard Fedex shipping cost of USD12.40 can handle up to 0.8 kg of weight.
Don't believe me, just try adding 5 standard games to your cart and see the Fedex shipping cost.

So with this in mind, imagine their profit margin when you buy one game or even 2 games in the same Fedex order. Which is why they can easily do the multiple sendings cause they are still making money.

Edit: I buy Fedex only if I really want the order fast / it's above usd100 / i can stack multiple items
