Just noticed a new deal on Play-Asia. Pre-order Star Ocean 4 International and Final Fantasy 13 (US) for an additional USD4 off.

Furthermore the Fedex cost for both games is still USD12.40!

This is also applicable with The Asian (R3) version of FF13 which has an additional USD3 pre-order discount. Only USD56.90!

Edit: Discount is before coupons! Damn I am tempted...

There is an English Language R3 version available from Play-Asia. Now for only USD56.90 with a preorder discount of USD3.

Hong Kong English version is the Region 3 copy. But praying they don't give Region 2 UK (has happened to me before)

The japanese version is always more expensive (Japan pricing). But they get it this year. We english speakers will only see it March 2010

I do think the R3 English is a very good deal especially since it is USD3 cheaper as a preorder (all preorders should have discount) and is the cheapest version. As I said earlier, my only fear of ordering it is P-A will swap a UK R2 (which releases on the same date as US) for the R3, effectively impacting the resale value and DLC compatibility for us.

Happened on my Batman R3 order. Shipped me a R2 instead. Returned it and used the refund to get this instead.

Now have to keep my fingers crossed.

Asia English version comes out the same time as the US English Version. Only difference is cheaper and maybe chinese words on your box. (and maybe get Region 2 UK. man i am going on and on abt this )

watching the last part of the new trailer really is like watching sneak preview of transformer 3. Also got sense of dejavu from lightning leaping with a boost from odin ala FF7:ACC.

Simply to say just add something to your FF13 order. Can be at abt ~USD10++. And you can get the same fedex cost for the 2 items which would be offsetted by the USD12 off coupon.

yes. as long as the weight of the figure is not very heavy (heavy stuff increases fedex cost). Play-Asia doesn't like to hold one order and wait for another order to be in stock / released.

Example 2 games would only weight abt 0.3-0.4 kg and that still cost USD12.40 for both. Order 1 game only and fedex is still USD12.40.


One is the cheaper Region 3 (from Hong Kong) and the other is Region 1 US Version. In many cases, the games are essentially the same. Only sometimes certain bonuses only apply to certain region, ie GOW remastered region 3 has demo for GOW3 while US region 1 does not.
