anyone can define multitouch? and its specialty?

Multitouch allows improve interaction like iphone 2 fingers drag out ZOOM IN 2 fingers drag out ZOOM OUT. N900 to zoom in 1 finger spiral motion to zoom in or out.

Certain games allow multiplayer on 1 phone to play. If non multi tiuch after the first person press den only second person can press if together press at the same time it will mess all up.

well ... lesson for the day, never ever ever buy memory card at Nokia =D

Thats why i asked there is a possibility that card is special edition or include certain additional features to make it cost so much compare to normal ones.

Nokia Malaysia damn screw up and make us like Dumbo regarding the free gifts part and only 300 can get it. U think they will call us MAH? Those who work in Nokia Store will keep themselves....MAH and sell it off separately...

That's why I've been saying, they should have wait for the latest "major" update which is coming very soon, before they launch officially in Malaysia. I honestly don't know what's the rush to launch since the major update is just around the corner, besides, there're 2 apps in the repositories which are PR1.2 ready (based on the PR1.2 SDK). To be able to install it, we will need to wait for the latest firmware update.
Plus, there're quite a lot of changes to the User Guide/Manual itself (for the latest update that is).

As for the problems you're facing:
1. Is the unit you tested a new device, just boot for the 1st time? If yes, I do experience some lagging issue during 1st boot up. Give it some time to settle down, everything sets in. Or try restarting the device.
2. If the unit is the display unit, it depends if the unit has been messed with before and how long has it been running. Sometimes, some apps tends to occupy the memory/processing, best to install the System Info widget which allows you to monitor the processor and ram usage. Sometimes, after a restart, the phone will perform smooth again. It's just like a PC, sometimes just do a restart and the performance will be back again.

Honestly, it's no point just to judge based on a short test especially if you're a smartphone users, more if you have used the previous Maemo device before; but yea, I do agree, it's not stable enough compare with other mobile OS, but hey, even N97 has many problems when it first launch, so does few other Symbian smartphones. Plus, the N900 wasn't initially planned for Asia released; I guess they kind of rush it? If they want to launch, should've launch it earlier, if they plan to launch now, should've just wait for the PR1.2 update. Honestly, don't know what is Nokia Malaysia/Singapore thinking, probably they look from marketing point of view? To compete with Milestone and other device which also launch around the same time, so they rather not wait for the updates, and take the risk of having a bad image/reputation? They put great advertisements and boast about the greatness of the phone, but many might not know that this phone lacks of basic phones features, and still has many things to improve... At least the PR1.2 would solve some of the issues.
Too bad then, and they need to expect the Customers to know more of this phone and update the phone pretty soon.

isn't it ironic? i think they need to place a product specialist especially on a device like this, when they trying to push to consumer. enquiries were left unanswered to convince potential buyer to fork out the money?

Totally agree! They need to place a product specialist, one that's familiar with this device, the technologies and knows what's the selling point of this device, also have experience and knowledge on the other competitor to pin point the specialty and uniqueness of this device, such as the Desktop concept, while others are using the simple Home Screen.

Problem is, even for Symbian device, their sales staff which I encountered before aren't really experience or knows in depth of the phone itself. They have the device all to themselves to play, learn, etc. but seems they never really do, perhaps when hiring, they need to find those that have interest in mobile? This is also same case in other industry, such as cars, usually the buyer knows more than the sales person, and sometimes the sales person cannot answer the questions and always refer to the brochure... They're given opportunity to test the car, explore, play with the car, yet they don't know much about the car, while those people interested buyer would want to test drive as many times as possible.

Anyway, previous I've posted this as well, in YouTube, you can see those people who went for the N900 launching, they really, I mean, REALLY question the sales staff with technical questions, and I'm impress the sales staffs there can really answer many of the technical questions. All these are recorded on videos. I wonder what happen if we ask those questions over here,

One thing good is, many owners here will survey and do their own research on the device before actually purchase, and we have the members/community to support, share and help each other.

Since I purchased this phone, it hang once. And that was when my friend tried to launch Angry Bird. Beside that one incident, it has been steady workhorse

Mine also been working fine for 2 weeks now.

Only once the phone was laggy, possibly due to some memory leak or hanging thread in background, making the phone heat up and battery drain fast.

A simple restart solved everything, and I'm already about 5 days since the restart, and the phone is zipping along just fine.

This phone is just so much improved over the N97.

Nice phone but still can't decide for N900 or Milestone..

If you really need a powerful browser, N900 is the one...but if you prefer more apps to play with, then Milestone.

For me I will choose N900 cause I need a full functioning desktop like browser.

Yea been annoy at some phones when u load flash video or file it load 3rd party software not direct from browser

I have tested Youtube on N900 and it seems the video lagged and then freeze after few seconds of streaming.

Any owner care to share ?
