if there any other options available?

try:
1. in the conversations screen on the contact, touch and hold your finger on the message and a pop up will appear, see what options are there and try cancel or delete or something similar.
2. touch the message it will bring you into the single message screen where you can delete. I believe yu have tried this step.

if not it could be a bug that needs to be reported. not sure if its been reported. if it has, most probably it'll be solved in the next update.

I've registered my device when I first bought it. For those have done it, Nokia should have the list of owners who have bought the N900 in Malaysia, the supporters and also fans for this phone. Too bad for us then...

Long story short, for pre-order online user, you might or might not get your phone.
So you got to act fast otherwise all N900 will be reserve for those already paid RM200 deposit customer(walk in pre-order)

Still no one got their N900 today from Nokia Store?

Got my N900. Picked it up at The Gardens. The person in-charge asked for my IC to verify my identity.

So many things to explore in this phone I'm taking my sweet time to try everything slow and steady

The next major update is coming very soon, but not sure why it hasn't come and the N900 has launched in Malaysia and Singapore! So, does it mean the Malaysian and Singapore users will need to manually update it anytime soon? Plus, I think there're quite some improvements in the next update, it's seems like not a wise move to launch before the major update.
Even the milestone official set comes with Android 2.1.
