i've installed the opera mini 5 beta. it's damn nice with the tabbed browsing.

anyways, they say can copy/paste. but i can't seem to do it? they say use the shift key.

Hi, sorry i think even i told u my price, it wont helps. Because I get it in SG with sign-up 2 years Starhub postpaid plan. The phone cost S$248... Forced to get a postpaid plan because the job scope and responsibility... SG postpaid is kinda crazy....

i think the price i paid is kind of worth it for the functions i have.
battery life is about 2 days with occasional gps/3-4 hours calls per day/wifi about 1 hour per charge.

overall, battery live is good with this phone. and the qwerty is a blessign.

To copy , long press the centre d-pad , select text , press start and select ur text ,long press centre d-pad again to paste d selected text or by jus pressing R/1 button which will also enable u to open new tab. I find pressing R button easier.. Lol..

how come at E71fanatics they say hold the shift key? i keep trying to hold the shift key and nothing comes up, weird.

anyways, the start page. are you able to edit the assigned speed dials? for example, i've configured #4 to be m.facebook.com but now i'd like to change it to something else. can't seem to find an option to edit.

yes jus by select the speed dial tat u wan and press R/1 button press edit or delete lor..

wah bro, how you found out what the keys are? i've already went through the shortcut menu at the browser and they never show anything about holding dpad or the R/1 button.

Hmm...actually i really don't get the hang of surfing with E71, unless necessary. Cause the screen & fonts is still small and the cursor still need to do the "up down left right" thing. , still rather surf with laptop / pc.

I only use E71 to direct download themes or application.

well, if given the choice definitely i'll choose to surf with a laptop. but sometimes, when i'm in the car waiting for the girlfriend, or in shopping mall waiting for the girlfriend to shop, or when i'm taking a crap in the toilet i'll use my E71 to surf.

and honestly you should give opera mini 5 a try. the tabbed browsing is awesome

go to msg then options > setings > email > your email > connection settings > incoming email > access point in use > choose always ask and for outgoing email do same

hi bros, i tried installin GMXT in a new E71 (my friends phone didnt come with it). i got this msg



even after copying the sw.unl file to the garmin folder

I previously used my old "Unlock ESN" to g*nerate the sw.unl, then ctrl+c, ctrl+v @ my garmin folder then okay liao. However, since my friends one didnt come with previous version installed, how do i get an "unlock ESN" to generate an unlock code?>

make sure that your file extension is SW.UNL and doesn't have like other known extensions behind it.

yeap originally when saved it is sw.unl.txt then i renamed it to sw.unl

but again, this phone (my friends) has not got any older gxt installed so i dunno his unlock esn. the sw.unl file i copied was from my phone punya gxt

Wat u sufferin there is due to the sw.unl u paste in ur friend e71 is for ur e71 only.. U need to open ur friend garmin by preesin begin free trial and copy down its esn code 1st.. Btw.. Pless do tis discreetly.. Later thread kena close down.. Thx you..

Switch to mobile view .. Although by doing so.. Some site which does not support mobile view tend to go distorted but fine by me as most of my site is mobile friendly.. but at d end of the day when given a choice who dont prefer surfin on a bigger screen right? My 2 cent

hehhe yewps, i don't completely use the E71 to replace my laptop. but with unlimited data plan, it's definitely a bonus and a good phone for me to surf the net when i'm on the go. especially places where i don't have access to laptop/desktop.

i actually use my phone to surf some sites/forums while i'm at work even because my company blocks them. hehehhehe. i'm fine with mobile view and pretty much used to it already. and i must say i really really like opera mini 5 because of the tab browsing. good job Opera!!

back to the question, any better protector out there for e71?

i was thinking of invisible shield but i suck at doing it myself. because i know how bad i can be even putting screen protectors on.

So im just asking anyone got better solution in terms of protection?
