where to access task manager and file explorer ah? first time us nokia e series=.=

Hey guys,

I require some help from expert. Currently i am using the internet using bridge connection or by connect manually. I am using Riger Wifi Modem provided by TM and Windows 7 OS. I want to access the internet via my E71. It can detect my AP, but i couldn't connect to internet by showing 'web no ogateway reply'.

Is there anyway i can access the internet via my E71 if using connect manually from the laptop. I cant set the setting to PPPOE as it will disconnected itself within half and hour.

Any help are greatly appreciated!

If i am not mistaken, you want to see what current application is running right? You may hold long press for HOME button. It will show you the current applications is opened.

Home > Office > File Manager

i dunno bout yours but mine when turned off and back on it will ask for pin code AND lock code. Settings as discussed before.

What annoys me is that Sony ericsson phone will auto detect, if new sime card only it will ask for lock code..but this nokia everytime ask for lock code.

For the autolock period, i set autolock for 2 hour, so that i dun need to key in lock code eveytime. if more than 2 hour, i'd say is more than the usual time i 'glance' at my phone so ok laa..

for the task manager and file explorer, i suggest using JBAK Taskman and Activefile. I covered all this in my blog or you should have always checked the 1st thread for coo lapps for your E71. cheers.

Great ! Now my memory card is locked for no reason.

I did a backup this morning and I ticked every single option except the one backup my memory card. Just before I perform the firmware upgrade, I removed my memory card. The firmware upgrade went on successfully until I restored my stuff from the backup. After the restoration then I insert my memory card and then I was greeted with the message "Memory Card Password". I have tried every possible combination of the password I used,default passcode. I have no remote sim locked nor the memory card encryption activated.

I was told by a friend that he too encountered this same problem when he performed the firmware upgrade but he got the password removed by keying the remote lock password. A search on the internet showing that I am not alone.

Not only I lost my files in the memory card, the backup DID NOT BACKUP the wireless access point profile, now the whole thing is empty except Maxis 3G internet, bla bla bla bla. HOW CAN NOKIA BE SO IRRESPONSIBLE FOR THISSSS !@#!@#!#

So guys, what have I done wrong in the process ?

Nope never encounter... Bro u upgrade firmware with ur card in d phone or removed? If ur phone said it password lock and get a card reader and read it from ur computer lor.. If can .. Then back up from there and reformat u card b4 u insert lor.. U update using ovi suite or pc suite? Ur window is xp,vista or 7?
It is not always nokia fault u noe.. Most of d times is window fault..

I dont think i will ever update my firmware, so scared shit happens

I removed the memory card when I was updating the firmware using PC Suite. The whole memory card is locked, card reader wont work, mass storage wont work, PC Suite wont work. I am running on XP

I guess this will be my last time updating firmware. When I google'ed for solution to my problem, people across the globe also encounter the same shit like me. Very frustrated some of my data went missing, especially my wireless access point profile(ALL GONE) and my photos. I only manage to recover my data till the January, I lost the photos from CNY and my Singapore Trip.

5.00.50 the latest one.. now no problem ady, but having one problem now, stuck in installing malsing map. =.=

hmm did u copy the map to the garmin folder in the memory card?

Btw anyone using Nokia Messaging? I can never send it to auto-sync, as in make it like push email. I would have to manually retrieve it myself. I cannot remember how i set it last time?
