By applying too much thermal, will it harm the GPU?

today i did send my x360 shop my still warranty
i bought 25 aug 2007 so they give 1 year warranty so i got 3rod so my stil warranty left 3month
i told my x360 3rod warranty shop he said charger me RM180 Fix 3rod
why ??

same la, mine also kena 3rod , 3-4 times liao. im on my 3rd unit now.....
currently i dont think there is any 100% fix solution out there, unless microsoft do somethings about it. so changing to a new unit is the better way i think. currently running on Falcon chipset. 21 - feb - 2008. hope i dont see 3 rod for this year.

My xbox360 has joined the 3Rod club on 25th March 2008.
Now its with my colleague in Singapore,he'll help me to claim it for warranty with Microsoft SG.
but Microsoft SG assumed that we nid to wait for at least 10 days if we'll like to change a new console.So most probably i've to wait til this coming 9th April.
However,i've went to purchase a 40GB playstation 3 on 5th April 2008,tak boleh tahan with Microsoft's QC attitude already.Even though they replace a console for my 3Rod one,but i've disappointed with Microsoft already.

i want long time play game

What kind of bullsh!t is that.
It doesnt matter how long you work your console if the proper fix was done to it.
The fix is more to able to fix or not.
There is no much effect on playing time.
The more your console is turned on, the more healthier it is.

wats the fastest breaking time/day record for ROD since the date of purchase...?..

If i am not mistaken it is a week after purchase.

Do you mean warranty or x-clamp replacement?
If you warranty from SG it might take about 10 days.
A x-clamp replacement fix can be done within a day.

really? now I'm in a dry stage, not playing the box much coz of exams and part-time work. I do turn it on once every few days just to give it a run.

the problem is, sometimes I forget to turn it off and leave it on for almost 24 hours no affect on the reliability whatsoever?

wah..u really forgetfull to turn off ur 360..
As long u not playing games on it.. it can survive the heat longer..

that happens when the 360 is sharing the same display as your computer and is placed quite close to it.
