guys,

i need your advice and views first before i lay my hands on a PSP.
i did mostly online search as i want to make sure i know what i want prior to bargaining.

1. roughly how much does a software cost?
2. PSP require security software/antivirus?
3. can it connect to an internet provider via USB modem? (example Maxis or celcom broadband?)
4. do i required to constantly update my PSP?
5. can it be done at the SONY centre?

regards,

Point blanc

1. software? for psp? if ur asking "software" to be used in psp, we have plugins, which is totally free, and can be dl from the web.
2. no it doesnt, never heard of any psp virus attacks b4~
3. im not so sure, since the psp only can get wifi signal
4. its better 4 u to update, either its custom firmware, or original firmware. some games do need the update and some doesnt.
5. well, if ur opting for official fimware, yes, it can be done.

bro, next time if u dunno how to do it manually, u can just get the cfw auto updater and it'll get the job done for u just as the ofw updater does. As for now, u can either find someone to unbrick it for u or just go to the game shop and do it there (if ur seller can do it that is) smile.gif

nah, actually im just confuse bout my cxmb theme,
it doesnt work at all after i flash0 my psp on a batman theme,
but i forgot to backup the files, the files for backup that i save is actually a file that already replaced by the theme.
so i decide to replace my current flash0 files with my bro's psp flash0 files.
and there it goes.
anyhow, can anyone teach me about pandora battery,
it doesnt working when i tried to put it into my bricked psp.

technically if u got a pandora battery and all the require files, once u insert it, the psp should load the some loader to install cfw. but from the way u copy files from v3 to v2, mostlikely that won't work and will result in a full brick.

well technically each units has different file if not mistaken. erm for psp3k, there is no way to unbricked yet + sony won't do anything coz u r running cfw sweat.gif but then technically u won't bricked the psp as long u don't play around with flash0 or flash1 stuff sweat.gif hope? not sure =.="...if he fully replaced the files with psp ta-088v3 files, most likely it's gonna b a expensive paper weight.
