messaging looks ok to me...
the clock feels more like HTC sense.. the only thing that I expect to be there but is not there is the shortcut at the front screen just like HTC HD2... Can anyone suggest how to get that shortcut? any freeware that I can use? Other than that, the lock interface is great! |

hi, may i bump in.. Just flashed the latest official rom to winmo 6.5. Eye candy perhaps, but i think it slowed down my phone compared while it was in 6.1. Tab swipe is not as smooth as before with some lag. No tweeter or footprint tab though. Maybe i'll install mem maid and see if things improve. Any suggestions on how to speed up the 6.5 windows?

Footprint tab, tweeter are for HTC Sense (Manila 2.5) which available for cook ROMs.. to speed up, try install gfxboost (see post #2) or/and install Speedbooster |

I used Mem Maid preset for extreme speed and now speed definitely boosted! Except when using the default background where the weather is animated..meant for HD2 i guess ( tempting to trade in for it !) Hopefully official Manila 2.5 will be released soon, not that adventurous to try the cooked ones.. |

QUOTE(pancovilla @ Nov 13 2009, 08:39 AM) Yes this is the biggest problem with the official HTC Asia release. Before installing any 3rdparty programs, it shows memory usage up to 70 - 75% already. This is definately unacceptable. As for the cooked roms ( popular ones being AtomAng Fusion v6 and Energy Photon ( the meory is better starting at average 60 % but the memory "leakage" quickly build up to 80 t0 85 %. So when you are using the browser after load several websites continoulsy ( even closing the earlier pages ) the memory will run out.I manage to find a better cooked rom TPC ver 3.2 ( Manila 2.1 ) - before installing any 3rd party the meory shows only averages 50 % > This rom has even include in a lot of 3rd party programs. Has been testing it 3 days already and is pretty smooth sailing. I can now browse up to 15 sites anytime continously with Twikini updates in background and memory is hovering about 80 % - excellent For ROM freaks why don't you try it out download from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=576361 This post has been edited by benny888: Nov 13 2009, 11:29 AM |

QUOTE(Frenly @ Nov 13 2009, 09:58 PM) by the way, a quick question installation of cook rom just need to download the file and install? do i need to jail break anything? If your unit is a original UNTOUCHED unit - you need to perform a hardSPL process first ( conspt similar to jailbreak ) : read all about it at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550540 . It is not complicate process but take care follow instructions carefullyOnce you have SPL your unit - you can then install unlimited rom types until you get fedup with flashing. The developer has also provided a very easy exe file to restore your unit back to original status ( in case you need it for warranty purposes ) . Is a very simple one step procedure This post has been edited by benny888: Nov 15 2009, 12:24 PM |
