Y'know what I think is pretty funny? That everyone's so quick to trash this movie, but they'd jizz in their pants for stuff like 2012 and Transformers 2. Other than the budget, they're all the same.  laugh.gif

I jizz in my pants because those movies are usually a big visual feast, but not necessarily means its a good movie. This however, fails in both aspect.

Again, the only difference is the budget. biggrin.gif

Just watched it with my wife last saturday. Paul Bettany is cool in this movie but overall, i somehow feel that this movie's ending is a bit too rushed. They could have expand it to make it more interesting. This movie have nice and controversial plot but fail to capitalize on it.

I would recommend it if only you are Paul Bettany's fan as he rock in this movie.

What a Terminator rip off
1. Waitress as the "heroine" ... check
2. Waitress is pregnant ... check
3. Baby will become the saviour of mankind ... check
4. The villain is sent to kill the baby ... check
5. The hero's mission is to protect the baby ... check
6. Narration by heroine at the beginning and end of movie regarding some dark, apocalyptic event ... check
7. Heroine rides off somewhere with tons of guns to face an uncertain future, ready for a sequel ... check
etc, etc.

I might as well go back and watch the old Terminator 1, much more entertaining!

Added on January 25, 2010, 10:44 pmThings they could have done to make the movie better (probably with a bigger budget):

1.More menacing monsters, each with different powers/ characteristics instead of those cannon fodder zombies
2. Come on, please bring on more Angels! Make a bigger battle scene!
2.Slightly different concept, say, the Angels are actually aliens with advanced technology and powers; the "God" they serve is not the Creator as we know it but a badass head honcho... imagine a final showdown between the heroes and this "God".

2 things they can keep:
-The metallic wings... really cool
-The spinning mace, nice weapon

This movie reminds me about the destruction of the world like 2012, the day the earth stood still and so on. What i like about this movie is, the world not gonna end so soon.. haha

Phailed mv and i agreed wif -Panadol- this is indeed smth like "Terminator" jz the difference is the "legion" storyline is so weak and it took place in 1 god damn place which is in house located in the middle of dessert...if there is a sequel...i'm definitely nt wtchin...WASTED my money...

the problem with this movie is that it happen at a place so small. Inside a deserted restaurant.

And why don't they just drove the cars and crash into the damn restaurant?

this is a good example of a modest-budget movie with good promo...which has successfully entice ppl to watch it

set is only at one location - and not using too many famous casts, the produces know how save costs for this flick...
even though the overall 'feel' is intended to be bigger than universe itself

then they spent a bit on good promo - which successfully lures ppl to pay the ticket to watch it. All in all - the producers have managed to attain their objective! We all might have just got conned...hehe

i've not watched this - but since there's a bit of Constantine-ish tone in this film, i might like it

The moment the baby is revealed to be the future savior of mankind I did a facepalm in the cinema and inadvertently groaned "alamak Terminator!".

About 10 people around me laughed out loud and agreed.
