QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 1 2009, 11:05 AM) Tanjong high probably will give another 17.5 cents interim dividend in this month end. Thank you Cherroy. The effective cost of ownership will be cheap everytime it gives dividend. Eg. previously if one bought 13.00, so now it had given 37.5 cents already, so it must drop back to below 12.63 for equivalent cost of 13.00 previously. So you don't need to sell to make money in dividend stock. Having said that, I would agree short term wise, Tanjong is a bit at high side, could pull back little. But I doubt it will go back to 13.00 unless overall market has a big pullback, or reporting dismay financial result in the coming Q (which should be this month). Makcik up the price again!
BTW,today's Edge weekly reported on IPP's power plant complex should be treated as plant or industrial building, the outcome may have some effect on the bottomline of the IPPs.This is one issue that need to be considered as Tanjung is also in IPP. |

Does anyone think we should be worried about this AS1M thingie?
Seems like they have only sold 2 billion out of 10 billion units and extended to deadline to 30th September Sentiment not good towards this 'investment'? |

QUOTE(zamans98 @ Sep 1 2009, 11:44 AM) Gloves counters all coming down. Gloves? How does it play with H1N1 in the consumer market?H1N1 also slowing down like worldwide market, Market up virus up, market down, virus down. Wouldn't face mask be a better play? Anyway, 3M @ NYSE still going higher. They make N95 masks. Great product! |

Seems like they have only sold 2 billion out of 10 billion units and extended to deadline to 30th September Sentiment not good towards this 'investment'? Th size is too big so it gives a impression that response is not good. Actually response wise for this fund is fair ok already, previously norm new fund size or fund size increment is around 1-2 billion only, this fund size is too big to fill up only. Also the poor response is due to too many fund raising previously like Sukuk, ASM, even so many right issue out there, a few ten billion of cash has been suck out from the market just on right issue alone. |
