The best time to short was actually last week when it was its sugar high.
Tomorrow, market is already expected down... this is the time to cover some position.

Exactly.
I remember about 5 years ago when REDTONE IPO'ed at 0.95.

Over-subscribed about 82 times - IIRC.
REDTONE stock went to 1.65 a few days later.

I know very well the goreng-artists behind this stock at the time and of course their 'Business Model' and 'projections' were pure fantasy and anyone who knew the company and its management and reading the figures they published would not touch the stock with a barge-pole.

I remember being at a dinner with the REDTONE 'Promoters' and they were all crowing and laughing: "We have made 22 millionaires today" (small potato stuff).

What an obnoxious bunch of charlatans they were.

Now the share price is 0.2x and the company is going nowhere and a lot of NUMPTIES lost their money.

Lots of stories like this one, I think.

DISTECH is another one. 0.35 to about 0.12 now. What a dog company! They did the same thing - all invention so the banks can get their money back and off-load the trash onto retail investors who believe the hype.

Of course - the IBs don't give a **** because about half the IPO cash raised by these peanut companies goes to them in "professional fees", commissions and 'private arrangements'.

That's what most IPOs are about IMHO.

<Just my opinion - sorry if anyone got these counters>

Luckily the markets take absolutely no notice whatsoever of China SSE which is little better than a Cheena Pat Casino peopled by those who make their investment decisions based upon Feng Shui charts.

And cheap credit which is now being restricted by the PTB.

NYSE closing update:

Dow 9495.28 -47.92 -0.50%
Nasdaq 2009.06 -19.71 -0.81%
S&P 1020.62 -8.31 -0.81%

Not bad.. but I guess the bit of pullback is a start. rclxms.gif

China caught the big cold yesterday, Wall Street just caught a bit of wisp of that but no big deal here.
If China really get the flu, it won't be long Wall Street will get it as it may not be decoupled from it for long.

Oil stocks took a hit today.. below $70 (-4%). With September in place now, I would expect the pullback will definitely happen in energy related stocks as we get into Autumn.
