Haha. I'm previously was a Dell Inspiron 1420 user. It served me so well till the faulty GPU came upon me.

ooo. there wasn't any problem with heat right? battery life etc?

Thinking of getting Inspiron, never used this type of model before.

Anyone had very poor experiences?

Thinking of RM1499/1599 models, but don't know if old CPUs are too crappy or not. 2GB RAM enough for Windows 7? My Windows 7 laptops/desktop lags with 4GB RAM.

Dell Inspiron 14R user here Just got it from the expo in KL Convention Centre.

inspiron n4030 owner..im i in the right thread?

3.87GB usable ram detected. how to solve? make it 4gb any pro help.. my new dell inspiron 15r n5010...
don't ask me flash bios or edit hidden bios setting.. later void my warranty.. i flashed the latest bios but still can't solve this particular matter..
acer user can achieve 4gb by edit hidden setting in bios.. dell bios don't let u touch it.. maybe got their own purpose.. any pro help me solved with safe method and efficient?

my only concern of buying 15r is im afraid it would be super heavy for me
so as a current user of 15r, how would you say about the weight? quite ok?

2.7kg.. quite bulky and if bring around still manageable but if u bring it out and put at table, it occupy places..
my weight is 59kg for me is normal maybe i worked heavy workload before this.. always lift heavy and handling steel wire rope.. etc!

if i'm not mistaken, this is OS related. 32-bit OS can only utilize that much of ram. 64-bit OS is another story.

well i'm looking for something with big fan. Kinda interested in notepal infinite - 90mm fan and bigger mesh area. I've read in the thread that for nc2000, 15" laptop need to shift down a bit to get it cool.

Not fast though, its the 4th day today, no news from dell or the logistic company. Check on the website only mention manufactured complete and estimated delivery is on 3/Jan.
