Number of things about the chart, it is assumed that players will put points in increments of 5, because you only unlock traits every 5 points. Also, You have 916 base in ALL stats. With pvp gear you get 813/580/580 to primary/secondary/tertiary stat from your amulet and +60 per piece for slotting your armor/weapons. Another ~200 from set bonuses. So the 700 from traits isnt a huge deal. Your choice of amulet matters more.
I would like to disagree... If you put the full 30 points in one trait line, you will gain either 300 points in one stats and 30% increased duration/pool/pet attribute (depend on the profession specific stat), or 300 points in TWO stat
If you say you will gain 800 stat point from your amulet, by fully investing 30 points in one trait line, you will get 37.5% worth of that amulet. If you are boosting your secondary stat, by fully investing 30 points, you are gaining more than 50% worth.
If you pump everything in toughness/vitality, you'll be hard to kill. unfortunately, you are also hard-pressed to kill someone/something. The vice-versa is also correct (like in PvE standpoint, you'll be dishing out major damage, but you'll die from two or three hits from the mob)
