Guild Wars is CORPG, Guild Wars 2 might be CORPG or MMORPG (someone correct me on here please). Guild Wars have cash shop, to buy extra slots for character, unlock the skill and pets for PvP character and other things(click here for the list of things you can buy). You can play it by either buying the CD or the access key online. I bought my Guild Wars from in both form, CD(from e-club malaysia) and access key(offgamers).

Shouldn't you be asking this in Guild Wars 1 thread?

If I connect to Korea server, I get ping around 300ms~400ms. Using 512kps screamyx.

if you referring to GW 2, it's not out yet.

to buy GW, you can go to offgamers and search "Guild Wars". All campaigns should cost no more than RM180.

5 slots tied to a weapon type. So we can customize the 5 weapon slots too?

10 slots : 5 for weapon, 1 for healing, 1 for elite, another 3 normal skill.

Can't say it's bad. At least now it's more flexible.

It's very exciting....

Anything can be used as weapon.

GW 2 is a standalone game. But if you have earn some achievements in GW1, you can transfer them to show off in GW2, not to mention that you might get some goodies in GW2, such as unique armor skin, companions and stuffs.

nope. I normally get around 250~350ms with US district, and 250ms~300ms with Korea district.


Since they mention daggers...I guess assassin is coming back? Imagine dual-pistol assassin!

And the skill combination is cool too! Make a wall of fire and anything that passes through have fiery attribute to it. But what if we make firewall, icewall, stonewall, lightingwall, then an arrow that passes through become fiery, cold, earth, shocking arrow? tongue.gif

Don't worry...the max level is only level 20 and in the end everyone will get armor with the same armor rating. just the runes and insignias you might have to buy them.

Steam now having 50% off on guild wars trilogy. You can get the 3 of them(prophecies, factions and nightfall) for USD20(around RM65). For Eye of the North you get it for RM45 @ offgamers.com

So total it up you can get the whole game around RM110.

I think not, though if you really want to know the storyline Eye of the North will most likely be more relevant as it introduce all the playable races of GW2.
