Hi, i recently bought a RO/DI (without eelctronic booster pump) aquarium filter through ebay, and its being shipped by UPS from USA, the item cost around RM600+ including shipping. will i have problems with customs in Malaysia?

Has anybody experienced getting taxed while shipping their items/parcels worth more than Rm2000 from US to Malaysia?

I'm thinking of getting an item off ebay and would like to know if will instantly get taxed.
Read a few experiences online, some got taxed, and some don't.

Hey guys, I ordered a watch and it was shipped using USPS priority mail international ($35) and has been stuck in ISC Chicago IL for 4 days... is it normal?

The tracking code starts with CJ45xxxxxxxUS.

Would like to share my experience purchasing books worth USD240 from an online bookstore based in Colorado, USA. Order was shipped via USPS Priority Mail International Medium Flat Rate Box on 27th June and I receive it this afternoon (11th July). Cleared customs without tax. So roughly it took 10 working days to reach me, which is not bad. Here is the tracking information from USPS Tracking:

Is it possible to declare the item as gift with no value and still have it insure? I'm getting a used wedding dress from US that cost USD500. I don't want to kena custom but still want to buy the insurance in case it got lost or damaged in mail.

even no value you still have to declare as low as 1 dollars. the lower your value, the lower insurance coverage you get.

On the latest update, should it arrive in the customs by now? "Your item departed a transfer airport in Kuala Lumpur Int'L, MALAYSIA on December 2, 2014 at 3:22 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination" I've ordered a few thing from US before but never got this 'departing Kuala Lumpur Int." normally it's straight to customs processing.

Any idea what's going on?

I know this is way too long ago, but you received your package though there was nothing at all in the system when you checked on USPS website?

I have a package which its content has a value of more than RM20k. It's been 2 weeks now, or 10 business days, but I have nothing. Even in the system

Is it confirmed that the tracking numbers starting with C and L can be tracked on USPS and pos.com.my?

The USPS site says that tracking is not available for the Priority Mail International flat rate boxes (with tracking number starting with L). Yet I'm seeing quite a few posts here mention that the USPS Priority Mail International Flat Rate boxes can be tracked.

has anyone have any experience with USPS express mail (with tracking)?

how accurate or detailed the tracking is?
is the tracking only in US and stop when reach malaysia?
or the tracking continues until the item reach you and you sign for it?

I'm wondering if anyone know the delivery for usps international first class in malaysia is by normal mail or poslaju?

it has been a week since the last update of my tracking. what should i do? is it taking longer time cause of the holidays?

not sure mine is first class or what, but i receive my package from poslaju.

yes, holiday definitely affect the delivery time.
my package takes 14 days to reach me from US.
