QUOTE(old newspaper @ Oct 1 2009, 03:07 PM) hmm speaking of diffuser, since i couldn't find any for my Fenix LD01 so i made my own.....using a liquid paper body tube...LOL Hey it does look nice » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « ya, it might look ugly but hey it works ! QUOTE(susuman @ Oct 1 2009, 06:10 PM) Nope, but 47 said it has in design problem wor Heys, I think your T20C2 will be fine, selfbuilt's review seems promising. *Thinking, I assume that design of ET bezel kinda exposes the LED, hence alot of "normal" users might mistreated it and damage it. And have returned units that 47s seems to be experiencing a toll of warranty claims. Also, I heard that ET also drives the LED beyond it's max spec tolerance, I can't confirm that though, don't know if it's even an issue if there's instructions regarding having the light cooled. Anyone has any leads? References regarding why 47s having such claims? It's bugging me still. Added on October 1, 2009, 10:27 pm Got update from CPF here. (but the thread was closed because discussion was more about the manufacturer and such instead about the flashlight) This post has been edited by pseudoblue: Oct 1 2009, 10:28 PM |

Hi guys,
If there's a design problem with ET (no models were specified by 47s), then a lot of buyers will be vocal regarding this design problem. Hi pseudoblue, I do not understand about the ET bezel exposing the LED, could you help clarify more on this? ET over-drives the LED but not till a critical scenario. Even Quarks are over-driven in turbo mode (correct me if I am wrong), more so than ET '100' models. If there are issues of heat or reduced lifespan, there should be news of it now. As far as I know, the heatsinking of ET lights has been sufficient so far to allow constant output from the light. |

Courtesy of Selfbuilt's pic below. If any user were to open the head, unintentional damage might happen from users who don't take care? And yea, the Quark CR123^2 seemed overdriven on turbo (990ma) if I based on the datasheet, but there alot of other factors, and considering how small the heatsink is and need various cooling sources and methods. QUOTE(pseudoblue @ Oct 2 2009, 12:11 AM) If any user were to open the head, unintentional damage might happen from users who don't take care? yo... isn't that a feature? this design allows users access to change the reflector if they want to. This is normal in customs and most even allows you to swap to different emitter. |

QUOTE(damonlbs @ Oct 1 2009, 06:23 PM) dont worry what more, it was done within a 2 weeks time frame and PLUS, i got a BRAND NEW HEAD!I got 3 eagletac light so far so good n more coming nightstalker throw his eagletac light on the floor and broke it, but Philightsophy got him a replacement head, nowadays light are all made in china, its all branding anyway anyway after u get ur eagletac u can decide for urself got design problem or not now THATS what i call CUSTOMER SERVICE! don't think even surefire's warranties are better, at least in this region of the world read online say surefire if mau warranty, must call by phone, else they won't layan Added on October 2, 2009, 1:32 am QUOTE(susuman @ Oct 1 2009, 06:10 PM) Nope, but 47 said it has in design problem wor performance/design flaws?what flaws? only flaw i can see is the idiotic strobe mode set to double-tap power button other than that, their older, dead-simple 2-modes lights are practically AWESOME!! my p100a2 here can run for 1hr30min continously with a FLAT output on a fresh Maha Imedion battery. design issues? the design is pretty spot-on for a personal light. practically COVERED in knurlings, gives excellent grip. only design flaw that i see is the somewhat thin metal around the head area after the threads. that was the part that gave way on my ET head when it *dropped* ( btw, just did a current-test for the Nano charger that came with my Wee... on the rear it says 450mA output but luckily, after some simple testing with the DMM, actual currents are only 80mA although the charging is almost 1C, discharging can go up to more than 5C, 500mA for a 90mAh cell This post has been edited by Nightstalker1993: Oct 2 2009, 02:00 AM |

woot, i and i said to myself...this is the last one...
Nyways, the EZAA really looks a little like a lipstick Perfect for a lady wahahaha. Oh yeah regarding the MC10 by fenix, i think i wouldn't want to bring it to my night runs because we normally just wear shorts and thin shirts for comfort, wouldn't know where to hang it haha. I'm so sad over the quark titaniums, 2-3 months wait is a really long time... |

QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Oct 2 2009, 01:17 AM) ... I think its because your Nano charger supports different capacity. Like chargers that can charge both AA and AAA for example. btw, just did a current-test for the Nano charger that came with my Wee... on the rear it says 450mA output but luckily, after some simple testing with the DMM, actual currents are only 80mA although the charging is almost 1C, discharging can go up to more than 5C, 500mA for a 90mAh cell Just some pointers When you say discharging up to 500mA, that means it being used in the Wee? 500mA should be around 5.6C (5.6C*90mAH = 504mA) Btw, I might have missed this info but what type of battery is it and how many volts? (Nimh, Li-ION) Added on October 2, 2009, 12:49 pm Hey guys, for those who don't know yet or no time to read cpfmarket treads, here are some summary updates regarding 4sevens development: - There will be a MCE white Quark version, non lego-able with current Quarks. Other than the new Maelstrom MCE coming soon - There will be a lego-able Quark version of RGBW MCE - There will be a 18650 body for the current Quarks - The new AAA name is 'Preon'. Titanium versions are mirror polished and will be fitted with the XPG series. Option to have clicky or twisty. Option for singe or double AAA bodies. L/M/H (1/15/100 OTF) sequence with hidden modes... - There's a headband being thought off, possibly in production that will carry the Quark lights into headlamps Hrm, what else... more details can ask here or view the 47's CPFmarketplace thread, the info is scattered. QUOTE(pseudoblue @ Oct 2 2009, 12:11 AM) Yea, the vocal problem already started but with no solid factual references. If I am not mistaken, the Olight M20 also allows the user to open the head and expose the LED, I think they call it 'candle mode'. There are a few lights that allows this exposure too, especially lights with modular components.Courtesy of Selfbuilt's pic below. If any user were to open the head, unintentional damage might happen from users who don't take care? And yea, the Quark CR123^2 seemed overdriven on turbo (990ma) if I based on the datasheet, but there alot of other factors, and considering how small the heatsink is and need various cooling sources and methods. Added on October 2, 2009, 12:17 am If this was a design problem, a related situation is a car bonnet should only be opened by a certified car mechanic since the owner of the car might accidentally damage something in the engine compartment. I wanted to clarify a few things about ET because over in CPF, there seems to be much anti-ET fire, and most of them are from people that have not even own an ET No offence friend |

These are the loot I got from Philightsophy.
SP-9 with a few extension pieces. Also 6P with strike bezel there for comparison purpose. 2 pieces of AW18500 batteries when I want to use rechargables for the SP-9, IMR batteries plus bulb for my e2e. All the extension pieces put to good use for my different hosts. All 6P hosts looking with great interest at the MC-E drop-in which arrives today too. |
