You can get the s15 with P8700 processor by ordering online. Just add rm247 for it. I doubt you can get it at Mid Valley as most of the machine there is a pre-builds so you don't really get to choose what you want.

If you purchase from Dell retailer, it is based on Cash and Carry. So you can get the machine on the spot. I not sure about freebies. I seldom heard any people getting freebies from Dell retailer as most of the freebies were given by Dell sales representative through phone or online order.

My conclusion here is that, if you urgent for a laptop, then just go to Dell retailer. If you wanted to customize and hoping for freebies, order directly from Dell through phone.

hey dudes, i try install win7 oem ultimate 32bit by using some virtualization tools, and the drivers (there is no win7 32bit driver, so i use vista32bit instead) doesnt work at all in win7 (either tell u system not supported or let u install successfully but the devices still wont work.)
i remember someone say he is fine with win7, pls share your experience with me.

Swt... Failed to make a new partition for my laptop. Cannot shrink volume on Drive C. I only can shrink 8GB from C:. Now i found another place to shrink volume--- the recovery partition. Can i shrink volume from that?? Possible to do that? Need to squeeze 16GB for 7...

... need to clarify something. I don't meant to delete the partition but shrinking its volume. The recovery partition is 15GB while there's about 7GB of free space in it. I just want to know whether i can shrink it and make the partition 0% empty space (100% occupied by the recovery image). The image file will never increase in size right? Correct me if i'm wrong.

have anyone of you facing problem like:
when starting or restarting windows, SOMETIMES the windows cannot play the logon and logoff sound.
when the windows cannot play the logon sound, other programs seem to cannot functioning as well.
no matter what programs i tried to run, it seems to not functioning well.
however, i restart again then the problem gone.

is there any solution to this problem?

ps:i faced this problem a few times the 1st and 2nd week when i purchase this laptop.
    now it happen more oftenly.

about the same as mine.i din turn off the sound when i off my comp.but after restart or turning on.the speaker is mute n i cant turn it on.have to restart again to solve the problem.haha

after uninstalling some felt faster on OS...some say ATI limits the GC power, uninstalling it can felt better gameplay?

install it to have all the feature it offer...the settings and also got 1 video converting i think...

Hey, I'm currently using S1537 but I never change my battery before. Have you consider changing the battery INSIDE the laptop battery instead of directly buying a new one? I saw some seller offer that service in garage sales, you maybe can go there and survey it.
