definitely. too much for comfort. seems a bit out of sort in defence, but attacking wise he's not bad. not bad at all

Rooney delivers again. Man of the match performance. Foster didn't put a foot wrong, and that save against Benitez (smile.gif) was world class. Should give him the confidence to go on and fill in for Van der Sar. Expected Owen to put that away, but hell, he'll get more chances. A win is a win though, and we've not seen an opening day victory for quite some time.

Good start for the new season with 1-0... clean sheet with Foster and new group of defense, can't ask for more.

my comment is i just watch the most abysmal win in united history doh.gif berba fletcher and owen should have buried all the easy chance and we should be staying 2nd on the table but then really facepalm 2 the max shakehead.gif head off the line chance i can forgive though icon_rolleyes.gif

It was a good save but you'd expect our other two keepers to be capable of making such saves as well.

Rooney and Fletcher were our only bright sparks coming into the first game of the season.

It'd be interesting to see whom we play Thursday morning - Park, Carrick, Rio all out of the squad and Evans and Nani taken off. I'd prefer Tosic to be given a shot in the starting 11 but I doubt we'd see much of him in the league.

whats important is 3 points in the bag.. we always starts slow..

having said that, im quite disappointed given the chances we had. e.g fletch/owen.

i look forward for a better 2nd game!

it's sad because owen can't score in his debut....
