I've always preferred Kuzzie when it comes to selecting the 2nd keeper for United. Foster is overrated IMO. I have no idea why the gaffer keeps showering him with praises - that he's the best English keeper around and stuff. Really.

The only thing slacking with Kuzzie is his kicks. The ball go flying all over the place. Pressured or not, his kicks are inconsistent.

But then again, check out Foster's kicks during last night's game. Poor Kuzzie, always ending up on the bench when he should be first choice in VDS's absense.

QUOTE(Wan @ Aug 10 2009, 08:40 PM)
I always viewed Foster as someone with the better command of his area of the two. Far more confident looking, generally good with his kicking.. just the better GK really. Kuszczak is good at shot stopping no doubt, but aside from that, he doesn't inspire confidence like Foster could. Always viewed Kuszczak as someone who is no more than a backup GK, while Foster really could be first choice for us for years after VDS. But Foster really need to do better with his chances.. but let's not judge him over just a few matches. Also need to remember he missed about two seasons worth of games through injuries. That's bound to take its toll. Jury is still out, but with a run of games now that VDS is missing for 8 weeks, he should get back into the swings of things.. or if he fails, Kuszczak will get his chance, but come next summer, we'll buy someone if Foster don't make it.
*
Kuzzie as no.2 behind VDS, slighly in front of Foster. Neither as no.1 though. sweat.gif

funny thing is..shouldnt the strikers like rooney and owen be the ones who take the penalties first?before they proceed with the likes of rio, evra, cathcart, tea lady..etc..
*
Starting from last season's fa cup, I think it's our new 'policy' to not really give a damn about making sure we win the cup should the game go into penalties. Next time we go into penalties, the tea lady will be the first to kick.

I don't recall Foster clashing with anyone during the match.. Soccernet used the term 'minor injury' while there's absolutely no mentioning of any detail on the type of injury he picked up on the main site..

Well VDS didn't collide with anyone in that Bayern game which went to penalties.. then out of the blue, he required surgery and is out for 8 weeks.

VDS injured his finger during the match. Club later confirmed it too. In Foster's case, nothing's said anywhere.

The big deal about the whole elbow thing was not the fact that Chelsea didn't stop the game. They're not at fault if we're talking about stopping play. We don't stop too when there's an opposing player down. Teams can stop but they're not obliged to. Professionally they shouldn't, as it's the job of the referee to stop the play when players go down injured.

What we're pissed off about is the fact that Mister Foy was inconsistent with his decisions. Stopped the game in favour of Chelsea BUT when United was caught in similar circumstances, he didn't blow the whistle.

Heck, our players get yellow carded for petty first/second time fouls when that Ivanovic dude got away with lots of fouls before getting his yellow. Berbatov's - first foul and it was a soft one at that. Evra's - he got the effing ball LIKE Terry did when he took down Nani so why do we see different outcomes? Owen's - don't tell me that was effing deliberate? Plus it was his effing first foul since he got onto the field.

Yap..agreed...now you feel what WE felt against Barca...still I think the game is fair...cuz mistake of the ref is redeem by the mistake of the linesman...
*
Two wrongs don't make a right. Mister Foy choose to not make amends for his mistake by stating his awareness of the situation and still defended his action to do nothing - that stopped the Fa from looking deeper into the whole thing. Your Ballack admitted his actions BUT will not even get a slap on the wrist because of the so-called professional referee involved. By the way, what nonsense are you talking, bringing Barcelona into the equation? Last time I checked, only TWO ENGLISH teams were involved in the recently concluded Shield match.

Wow..cool down man..just bring an example of the referring crisis...just like Chelsea vs Barca..

Ballack admit is good things right..and he and evra have talked about it..
Anyway..Nani really gud..never realized it before maybe because of CR..
*
Ballack admitting is not what we want now do we? By right, he SHOULD admit he did something wrong as he was at fault - you and I know there's no doubt about it. Main thing in this debate is still there, untouched. Chris Foy was an idiot during the Shield match, and thanks to that attribute of his on that very day, Chelsea and Ballack benefited while United were punished without any reason. Sure, when the game went into penalties it was ours to lose and sadly we did BUT fact is a certain Mister Foy and a certain Mister Ballack are both walking free when they shouldn't be.

I try to talk guys..and I still respect to the LYN ManU fans..so..dont talk like you on the gud side and i'm the bad one..football game itself is not fair..that is why they try to play FAIRPLAY....
*
Were we not talking rationally since earlier then? I've been keeping myself in check, not deviating from the main debate. Have you? I won't be the judge here. It's your own action, so I'll let you be your own judge. The others may question your motive for being here way more than I do. That is their right. But I have been attending to you so why be sour and make judgments based on assumptions?

Some smarty pants claimed I cowardly deleted his post. Last time I checked, I can't even delete mine. LOL. I did press a certain button with a certain ! logo on it though. rolleyes.gif

I was said to be crying in his club thread too. I must've had an amnesia or something because I don't recall doing anything of that sort. Praised a Blue? Check. Congratulated a Blue? Check. Cry about the recent loss in the Blue thread? No, but I need to invent a memory viewer machine first to be really sure. brows.gif LOL.

Shrooms oh shrooms, I wonder how many of you did he have for breakfast today?

add-ons: I'm also supposed to admit my mistake... Wait, what mistake did I do again?

its not over yet about the ref things...

no problem, next time if our opponents players down, just dont stop playing unless the ref blow the whistle

remember, last time Henry free kick before ref whistle, which cause them fear and the team put one player every time their opponent got free kick in front of the goal
*
We do that even now what? No probs there. Though there are certain incidents when we'll stop the play even if the ref said play on. Usually that's when the opponent player down is really in need of attention and his teammate tells us to stop and... Oh well you get the drift.

Looks like the back starting line will be roughly like this if Evans rili cant recover back in time

De Laet - Rio - O'shea - Evra
(Cathcart, Fabio)

or

Fabio  - Rio - O'shea - Evra
(Cathcart, De Laet)
*
De Laet to start ahead of Fabio please! drool.gif The kid's golden! Though, I heard he can play in numerous positions so he MIGHT stand in for Evans. thumbup.gif
