Well, football has become such a result demanding sport that players will take any opportunity presented to them. Take a one-on-one situation, where the forward is up alone against the goalkeeper. If the keeper slides out and the ref decides that he got contact with the oncoming forward, the victim earns a penalty and the guilty party has the keeper sent off. If the ref decides that it was a dive, all the forward gets is a possible yellow (sometimes even just a telling off). Fair? I don't know. I've seen Ronaldo and even Rooney dive around a lot in my fair share of viewing United, and to say I'm not happy when we win a undeserving peno is gonna sound bs.

I'll be happy with whatever way we use/or benefited from as long as we win.

If there is a touch, then it's hard to judge really. How do we know how much of an impact the fouler had on the 'diver'? Only the guy who got tackled can answer that, and that one is a grey area of some sort.. can't really decide, just let it be. But for the case of those diving without being touched by anyone, then the diver should get punishment for it. Give them a few games.. that should teach them.

You think it's right that Eduardo got a suspension over his 'supposed dive'? I think the GK got a slight touch on him, but he surely made the most of it. But I think it's a good start. If let's say a player clearly fell down without anybody touching him, then they can start banning the player for a few games. That would sent out a message to the would be divers not to do it, or at least made them think twice before diving. It's the only way to curb the diving really. Right now they get away without punishment almost. Also referee seems to pick and choose who they want to book for diving. We can see lots of instances where a player falls down,  but got told by the referee to get up, but for some others they would get booked straight away.

TBF, I saw the match live and I was fuming with rage because I thought he robbed us the chance of having a proper match but making an example out of him is equally unfair. Start on a clean slate.

since cristiano ronaldo left man utd, many concern about man utd side attack

how do u think of three wingers of man utd this season?

jisung park, nani, and valencia for each?

and who are the best for right and left side?

in my opinion, park and valencia actually would be the best for sides

cuz i know that nani is one of the best skillful player in man utd but lack of team play

sometimes nani just messes up the whole play by his selfish dribbling

but park and valencia are really helpful for team play and really enegergetic especially park

how do u think?

think carefully for the long-run of man utd this season,,

Nani has always came across as a player with brilliant technique but a lacking football brain. He'll get better with games, though to be honest last season he was considerably poorer than his debut season. From what I've seen of pre-season and the few competitive games he's played so far, he's improved alot in putting his head up and reading the play before making a decision (that diagonal pass to Owen is a good example, and one he gets little credit for despite the fact that it was him who pointed out to Owen where to run). Ppl argue that he slows our game down when he's on the ball, and to be fair that is true, but he's probably our best crosser of the ball atm and with the 442 we employ this season, he'll be key in our attack. With Ronaldo gone, he'll get more games to build up on and if he turns out to be half the player Ronaldo was, it'd be terrific. Remember, when Ronaldo started out with us he was no different to Nani. Give him time, I'm sure he'll come good.

We can ship him off to Madrid for 80 million when he does smile.gif

Ronaldo once played with his head down and was a selfish turd as well. Young players with potential will improve at Utd.

Since CR left, the winger discussion never stopped. To me, Nani and Valencia combination still the best currently. For the past 2 seasons I kept faith in Nani, although his performance sometimes is up sometimes is down, I still believe he can deliver. Don't forget CR was a winger that selfish, too many dribble and too many fancy skills, and just see where he end up now. Nani is a talent, no doubt about that. CR need 2 seasons to fully develop, but Nani is living under CR shadow for the past 3 seasons. Now is the time where fans need to give support to him and he really deserve the chance to prove himself. More games will prove his worth to the team. Nani basically got the left wing spot up to him alone but if he didn't deliver, Park and Giggs are ready to take over, not forget to mention Tosic as well.

Best crosser? Nani have my vote. Valencia crossing was not up to standard till now. From the first game until now, Valencia crossing was disappointing, I know he provided the assist to Rooney but heck, seriously speaking anyone in our winger post can deliver that kinda ball in the box.

Hargo is undisputed best crosser in the team, too bad he kinda occupied with nurses these days..

Not set an example, but they have to start somewhere. Hopefully they will implement it in the whole of the games under their supervision after this. Only that would make it fair.

Nani had a good start to the season so far. For the long run, it's better we keep him in the side for him to find his form and his confidence level, because Park and Valencia while good/very good players, Nani is the one who is likely to create something out of nothing. It's Nani on one side, and the other side up for grabs between Valencia and Park. If Valencia can work on his inside moves, he would be starter for me over Park, although Park as shown against Chelsea is great to have when we use him right. They didn't know how to deal with his movements in the first half.

Valencia is far more consistent with his crossing. It's easy to spot his crossing.. our players would know what to expect from him which is good because they can react to it better. You know once he gets past the LB, he would cross it soon. But defenders would find it easier to stop him compared to Nani. Show him the inside, and block the outside.. he wouldn't be as effective.

Nani however is different. When he gets it right, his crossing is as dangerous and as good if not better than Valencia's. He's unpredictable the defenders won't find it so easy to stop him. Stop him from going outside, he would turn inside and so on.. but that also means our players can't judge when he's gonna cross it.

As for Valencia not impressing that much so far, consider this. We have a hard time so far getting in behind the opposition's defence, apart from the 2nd half of the Wigan game. He's also new to the team.. it will take a while for him to adjust. But he's done alright so far. He was brilliant I thought in pre-season against Bayern and Valencia. Whenever he beat their LB, his crossing was almost always great. He's the opposite of Park. Park is crap going outside and crossing it in, but Valencia is crap whenever the outside is blocked and he has to maneuver inside. But going by SAF's recent comment about him, it seems they are working on him on that part of his game. thumbup.gif

nani has one more foot than valencia laugh.gif

to be fair, nani's crossing has always been good since his debut season
his corners used to be deadly, but now it seems to be gone

Ferguson denies rumours of rift with Anderson
sos

QUOTE
Sir Alex Ferguson has rubbished reports of a rift with Brazilian midfielder Anderson and moved to deny that players are being left out because of problems in the dressing room. It was claimed earlier this week the pair had exchanged angry words after Anderson was left out of the side for the Community Shield defeat to Chelsea earlier this month.

Anderson subsequently missed the opening Premier League game against Birmingham and although he was involved at Burnley four days later, it was in an unaccustomed wide berth and he was promptly left out of last weekend's win at Wigan.

The Brazilian said earlier this week that he was unhappy at being overlooked for the Chelsea game, although he also stated his desire to remain with United and prove worthy of a place in Ferguson's long-term plans for the club.

However, the United boss has rejected talk of a row. "There is no issue at all," said Ferguson. What you'll find is they are not playing. When that happens people make an issue of it. But stuff about a dust-up with Anderson is absolute rubbish."

It seems Ferguson feels the same way about Michael Carrick, who has also been strangely overlooked for the same matches as Anderson. Again, there have been heavy rumours of problems behind the scenes but Ferguson merely puts the England star's absence down to squad rotation.

"We had Fletcher and Scholes back for Wigan so it was just a matter of freshening it up," he said. "We are also trying to push Darron Gibson on as much as we can because the boy has improved at a fantastic rate of knots. There is no reason other than that."
nice to hear theres nothing going around bout ando n carrick..

Fabregas to miss Manchester United clash

QUOTE
* Premier League 5/2 Arsenal beat Man Utd Free £10 Paddy Power Bet

By Declan Taylor

Cesc Fabregas’ hamstring injury will keep him out of Saturday’s clash with Manchester United.

The captain was replaced at half-time of last weekend’s 4-1 victory against Portsmouth and missed the Champions League victory over Celtic on Wednesday.

In an interview with Arsenal TV Online yesterday, Arsène Wenger rated Fabregas as “50:50” for the match at Old Trafford. However, at Friday’s pre-match press conference, the manager ruled him out.

“Fabregas is out and his test was not conclusive this morning,” the manager confirmed. “Therefore he will not travel.

“Ideally you want him to travel and to play but he would not be 100 per cent.

“Everybody else who played on Wednesday is ok.”
