QUOTE(PrinceOfPersia @ Aug 12 2009, 02:16 PM) Hahaha.. thanks.. Which is why I posed in front of my house's door.. QUOTE(nshady @ Aug 12 2009, 02:37 PM) To wear a complete kit set, you have to wear proper shoes. My super wife didn't allow me to wear my studded football bootsQUOTE(alien2003 @ Aug 12 2009, 02:49 PM) I think Jerseyman was about to leave the house for a game already? Full suited + shoes + near the door? You bet mate.. haha..Already broke after getting the home kit so must resist from the away kit for now..... But alien.. the away kit to me.. is more stunning than the home... and the away normally becomes rare later.. like our previous black away kit.. so don't delay and grab one before it becomes rare QUOTE(heeren @ Aug 12 2009, 03:11 PM) I would agree with you. But both kits were a good kit anyway... but still I think nike could have done better...QUOTE(nizamhameed @ Aug 12 2009, 03:37 PM) Hahaha.... I would prefer to be signed by Albert Morgan. He's a hero of my, alongside Alec Wylie and the late Norman Davies.QUOTE(x3me @ Aug 12 2009, 03:40 PM) Thanks mate. It is a nice away kitQUOTE(cchanmt @ Aug 12 2009, 05:07 PM) just wondering bout the away jersey...why u guys can get it so early in malaysia?it will only be launched 2moro rite? Actually it's not sold yet at Malaysia.. I think only tomorrow onwards because the official launch date was on 13th August. I ordered from kitbag.Anyway my point here is.......... 1. The away kit is stunning 2. The blue is not light blue or sky blue.. not similar like that other team 3. Would like to encourage you guys to go and buy the real thing.. not the fake one. Reds kids shine on national duty
QUOTE Tom Cleverley and Febian Brandy both scored twice for England's Under-20s in a rampant 5-0 win over Montenegro at The Hawthorns on Tuesday night. Brandy put England in front after 13 minutes when he beat the offside trap and finished neatly. The Manchester-born striker then added a second on the stroke of half-time with a rasping volley. After the break Cleverley, who impressed in a first half in which he'd also missed a penalty, got in on the goalscoring act. The Reds midfielder grabbed England's third three minutes after the break, and then with eight minutes remaining he skilfully curled a low shot into the bottom corner, before Tope Obadeyi completed the rout in injury time. It's the perfect preparation for Cleverley, Brandy and co. ahead of next month's FIFA U20 World Cup in Egypt. Elsewhere, Oliver Norwood made his debut for Northern Ireland U21s in a 2-1 friendly defeat to Portugal. Burnley-born Norwood was joined in the side by fellow Reds midfielder Corry Evans. http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid=...&newsid=6637693 Why is Fletcher still underrated? QUOTE Why don't opposition fans rate Darren Fletcher? It's a point that irks ManUtd.com's Ben Hibbs... I had an argument recently with a Liverpool fan about Darren Fletcher. “He’s not a top, top player is he?” he said. “He’s OK, but he’s not as good as Mascherano.” I’m a big fan of Fletcher and that was all it took to set me off. Even in the days when some United fans would grumble at the slightest error, I preached patience. The first time I saw him play was in 2002, I went to watch United’s Reserves for the first time against West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford. This lanky, skinny kid in the middle of the park was absolutely everywhere, spraying passes all over the pitch like a seasoned pro stepped down to the lower levels. It all looked so easy. You could tell then he was a class above the rest. Upon his integration into the first-team, however, Fletch suffered because, as a young, lightweight lad, he had to earn his stripes out on the wing. He was labelled by many in the media as the new Beckham, well wide of the mark and frankly a lazy cop-out description of his talents. Then, when he moved infield, there was the void left by Roy Keane (even before Keane left he was no longer the all-action, box-to-box maniac he was in his prime). It was a tough education. But Fletch took it – and the negative comments he often received – on the chin. Fortunately, Sir Alex is a good judge of character and talent. In the last few years he’s honed his game, bulked up in the gym – which he admitted he always found difficult to do as a young player because he just didn’t see the results of his hard work – and he’s now approaching the peak of his career. But while United fans are, in the vast majority, converts to what Fletcher brings to the team – technical quality, clever use of the ball, energy, a calm head and, lately, a great deal of maturity – fans of other clubs seem preoccupied with out-dated judgements. Fletcher was one of United’s best players at times last season, and I honestly believe that had he not suffered one or two injuries he wouldn’t have been far off in the running for Player of the Year. In the depths if disappointment after Rome, Sir Alex admitted Fletcher was a major loss due to suspension. Would he have halted Iniesta and Xavi? We'll never know, and Barcelona might well counter that their own absent men would have raised the level of their performance. The point is, it’s recognition of how important Sir Alex believes his fellow Scot is to his team. And as everyone looks down the squad list for the men who’ll step to the fore in the ‘life after Ronaldo’ era, Fletcher is one that has to, and I believe will, rise to the challenge. He’s Scotland’s captain, a deserved title for the influence he wields in national colours, where he’s always been one of the big fish, even from a very early age. Now I think his time has come at United. He was outstanding in the first half against Chelsea at Wembley, and whereas we’re expecting the likes of Nani, Anderson and Berbatov to an extent to raise their game, Fletcher need only avoid injuries and continue the excellent work he did last season. We could have lost Fletch last summer when a number of clubs, Everton included, expressed an interest after a season in which he enjoyed only limited involvement in United's double success. Thankfully, he stayed and signed a new contract. Although, at either club, he’d have proved that deluded Liverpool fan wrong. http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid=...&newsid=6637699 Reds set for 4-4-2 QUOTE August 12, 2009 DARREN Fletcher has predicted a more rigid United will be on show this season. With Cristiano Ronaldo now settled in at Real Madrid and Carlos Tevez moving down the road to City, Sir Alex Ferguson has had a bit of adjusting to do this summer. And, according to Fletcher, the outcome is an orthodox 4-4-2 formation that he believes will be good enough to terrorise opposition at home and abroad. "We have always been tight at the back because we have a great defensive record but maybe we have been a little bit too expansive at times," he said. "The ethos of the club is about attacking football. However, you can't be wide open and attacking all the time. "You also have to be disciplined and I think you are going to see a more rigid 4-4-2 formation this season." http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/spo...eds_set_for_442 German keeper on Reds radar » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/spo...r_on_reds_radar This post has been edited by alien2003: Aug 12 2009, 05:51 PM |

Why don't opposition fans rate Darren Fletcher?
Because: 1. He's not really a good-looking. 2. He doesn't have a nice body, lol. 3. He runs like chicken, lol. 4. He doesn't talk too much. But Hipps got his points all right. |
