I have encountered the same problem. Not all items will ship to Malaysia (e.g. the battery from Amazon I tried to buy as well as a few other used books did not ship to Malaysia).

Your only option will be to ship it to someone in America and have him ship it here. But it's usually expensive. If I'm not mistaken there are companies that offer that, as well as a few sellers here (try looking for ychwang).

Books and music sold directly from amazon will ship. Electronics, no. Things provided by other companies selling on amazon site, not usually.

Ah, they have change quite a lot since my last visit. And now they can ship from Japan as well (which requires a Singapore billing address in the past). ^_^

Yeah, like nlinley said, books directly ordered from Amazon should ship to Malaysia no problem.

At least I got my books every time.

i saw some electronics product that can ship internationally from us to malaysia.
how's the shipping fees charges ? i m quite confuse on the shipping details.

Let's say if i have bought a electronics product from amazon is which avaiable for international shipping from US to Malaysia.
After payment and everything, will there be any extra charges for taxes and everything? how do i know they hold my products or anything ?

If the Item is sold by Amazon themselves, then it can be delivered to Malaysia for sure.

However Amazon also acts as a third party for other vendors and shops. Those shops may not have international shipping. So you can't get them to send it here.

Hope this helps

Wrong.

Check out Amazon Global to see what items Amazon ship directly to Malaysia. Note that there are other vendors that do international shipping that would not be included in that page. There's actually a pretty wide range of products available directly to Malaysia, either through Amazon or other vendors. The only concern is the shipping cost.

Otherwise, just use a freight forwarder.

And yes, Amazon ships Kindle internationally.

last time i used myus.

http://www.myus.com

u got option for one time use, or permanent address there. they even provide phone number for the seller to call. quite expansive, if i'm not mistaken about USD80 to send me a 2kg item, which i bought for less than USD80 of course. actually, it weight less than 2 kg, which is less than what i should paid (it's like 1kg to less than 2kg, 2kg to less than 3 kg price range), but they just put 2kg on the form. if i'm not mistaken, they will repack your item and remove the original packaging if it can reduce the weight.

it's a business address, so basically somebody is stationed there 24/7 to deal with delivery, not a post box address. they send to malaysia using dhl, so traceable, can clear custom in advance, took about 4 or 5 days to arrived. but the item took about 4 to 5 days to arrive from seller to myus (can't remember using what courier, but got tracking also, took 1 day to ship from place to place, and it was shipped thru 4 or 5 cities.) same time to deliver within US and from US to malaysia.

remember, it can get stuck for weeks in KLIA if only to clear custom upon arriving, so better pick courier that have proper business in malaysia.

I bought a couple of Blu-Ray discs before, and my dad bought several books from Amazon. They ship these kind of items here. Electronics, no - I had my DJ Hero Renegade Edition shipped to my cousin's house over there and she brought it back on her flight back to Malaysia.

I do buy a lot of novels and even PC games (Collector Editions) from Amazon and get it ship to me @ Malaysia.

But Rule of Thumb when buying from Amazon:

Books (any books - minus magazines) : Always wait until you have enuf books to purchase and ship it to Malaysia. Do not use Amazon standard or expedited shipping. Your books will tend to disappeared during shipment into Malaysia. Always use Priority shipping which tend to be more expensive (3 or more books is cheaper than 1 book).

Magazines (avoid purchase Adult Magazines from Amazon): It is super expensive and does not cover malaysia. If needed, get the magazines online from Zinio or other sites.

Video games (PC, Xbox, Wii, PS3): Available for shipping to Malaysia. However, it isn't direct from Amazon but from one of listed stores that will be providing the games to Amazon. Shipping will not get lost as it is under US Postal Service warranty. I got my SC2 Collector Edition send from US within a week.

DvD: This one is depends to what you purchase. Some DvD will be allowed through, most aren't.

Depends on sellers. If direct from Amazon then can ship to Malaysia. If third party then they might not be able to ship to Malaysia.

I bought some product that cannot be sent to Malaysia from Amazon then I used the service provide by VS Hub (http://www.vshub.com/), they will give you an address in the USA so that you can ship your goods there and you can store for a month for free before shipping to Malaysia, you will need to pay for the shipping cost.

Please go to their website for more details.

zsnipes, why don't you go to the Classifieds > Services Noticeboard section, there are quite a few number of LYN members that offer this service. Most of them cover famous USA websites like eBay, Amazon, etc.

These sellers take orders from local members, wait for the items to arrive to them (in the USA address), ship them from USA to here and then distribute the items accordingly using local Pos Malaysia.

In fact, I just ordered something from one seller there. Head to the section there, you should see a lot of these sellers for you to pick.

Tried purchase a laptop from Amazon, (3rd party seller).
They accept my order and send the laptop to me but after one month I still did not receive the laptop.
Than one and half month, i received an email from them saying that the item has been returned to them and they re-fund me.

Look like...maybe it is because the Windows 7 home premium is for US so it is not ok to export to south east asia?

Tried to search for laptop that installed with Linux in Amazon but look like they don't sell Linux laptop !

I use my debit. actually whatever card also can AS LONG AS got visa or mastercard on it. just campak money at deposit machine and pay. better if link with paypal, lot safer.

Bought various stuff like portable media player, headphone, micro sd card, screen protector etc from amazon US.

Had forumer Shirogawa as medium, but hav to pay fee la. how much is subjective, depends on the weight plus his charges.

I used to buy Blu-Ray's from Amazon. I would buy like 2-3 like that, had no problems.

Once I bought RM500 worth of Blu-Rays from Amazon, and the Malaysian customs ask me to pay tax. The tax was also more or less about RM500.

I told them to go f*** themselves and ask them to return it.

E-Mailed Amazon and they refunded my money.

I can confirm amazon does ship to worldwide, I bought some hardwares from them and they shipped to Singapore directly, only took about 1 week, but I have to bear the shipping cost as well.
I guess this also apply to Malaysia.

Not really, unfortunately. Books, CD media and a few other things yes but for almost everything else, including clothes, electronics etc. they don't ship.

I wanna ask, for example I buy electronic stuff (like tab) then send to US Address (using forwarder's address there) then send to Malaysia using their service..

Will US or Malaysian custom do spot check ? and if they found (either US or Malaysian custom) found that I buy electronic stuff, will they charge me additional tax ? and roughly how much ?

Thanks

Never faced this issue buying stuff from Amazon.

It's isn't Amazon that's causing the problem , it's the seller/ disti.

You have a choice of online sellers on Amazon so check for the one that delivers to Malaysia.

Customs ALWAYS check my parcels but so far i haven't been charged.

I'm buying Rogaine btw

Do video games and handheld consoles count ?

I've bought some discounted video games from Amazon but the console (Nintendo DS) is via Play Asia.

There was a customs stamp on it but thankfully there were no extra charges.

To be honest with you , even referring to government tariff site , it should've been taxed so i'm not sure why i am lucky.

They don't deliver ALL products to ALL countries.

The only other way is to ship to a different address at a different country or look elsewhere.

Just curious, what is it you are looking to buy?

Don't be discouraged with Amazon as it is really the best online store and their customer service from the other side of the world is fantastic...

There is a way to work out what will ship to Malaysia and whilst you may not be able to ship everything you can ship many items to Malayasia.

If you use Amazon Global and follow these steps you will see all the cameras (and dvd's, books, clothing, health, tools. watches, jewelry, shoes, electronics, handbags, toys etc etc etc ) that you can ship to whatever country you are in.

*** Step 1
Visit the official Amazon Global page at http://amzn.to/Global-Shipping - This is not the official Amazon homepage so make sure you bookmark or favorite it in your browser now so you can come back to this page whenever you want. Amazon Global has all the items that can be shipped overseas. It is a great place to start but not everything can be shipped to every country so you need to do the next steps as well.

*** Step 2
Login to an Amazon Account before you start shopping. If you dont yet have an account create one.

*** Step 3
Go into your account settings, click on Manage Addresses and setup a Malaysian address and then set it as the default address on the account.

*** Step 4
Go Shopping - as you look at every item it will check to see if it can be shipped to your address. If it can't it will indicate so in red writing.

*** Step 5
International shipping rates by many merchants can be excessive so it is best to only buy from Amazon who have low shipping rates. Also, many merchants don't follow the shipping properly and will still indicate you can ship it to Australia when you cant so it is important to select Amazon as the Seller. In the left hand column click Amazon in the seller box to make sure you are only seeing items sold and shipped by Amazon

I hope this helps.

Amazon always expensive after they include shipping, handling and tax after you checked out. I hate Amazon! Look $600 items became almost $900

Items (2): $602.99
Shipping & Handling: $239.91
Total before tax: $842.90
Estimated tax to be collected:* $0.00
Import Fees Deposit $53.30
Order Total: $896.20

See WTF is this? I better buy from ebay.

Certain products will not ship to Malaysia. In those cases, you can use a parcel forwarding service, I believe there are a couple of forumers providing those services in the Bulk Trade section

Do they have trouble with the customs here? Why can't they send something like Kindle over here. It's been quite a trouble for us to purchase goods from Amazon especially those items that are Amazon exclusive.

Im surprised the above products that im going to buy have no notification from amazon US unlike i got from amazon uk below

We're sorry. This item can't be shipped to your selected destination. You may either change the shipping address or delete the item from your order by changing its quantity to 0 and clicking the update button below.

So i guess amazon us ship these items to Penang.

Only thing i need to add RM756.30! for their nonsense.

Leave me no choice now since both items are more expensive in ebay and i need to find either myUS or USunlocked to ship (btw usunlocked need to buy their stupid card to buy US stuffs) and myus shipping charges also not that cheap. (almost RM600!)

BTW amazon UK prices are more expensive for the thing im going to buy.

rclxub.gif pening now to decide

Its easy, this is what you can do if the item you are ordering is not ship-able to Malaysia, Learn about package forwarding, I think posmalaysia and fedex (since fedex is international courier) can handle them, or try do an online search about package forwarding, I hope this helps

Dear Sifus, when we buy from Amazon is it safe to choose the cheapest postage method which can take up to 1-mth. Is this considered normal mail with no 'tracking number'. Hence, risk of lost goods is higher?

Noticed that Amazon also has a more expensive postage which can deliver in about 2-weeks. Is this via so-called courier method with Tracking No.

NB thinking of buying BD Disc directly to save cost.

Depends on which type of forwarding service you use. UPS' counterpart in Malaysia is PosLaju. Not sure about other forwarding company tho.

USPS has increased their shipping fees substantially earlier this year. The shipping fees from US to Malaysia can possibly be higher than the item(s) itself. It will be helpful to ask the seller what will be the shipping fee to Malaysia while it could be cheaper to get elsewhere or even in Malaysia itself.

wow, will be buying some phone back case from ebay, scared the shipping fees is too high and not worth it. the case only cost around $23.

here it is http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-UAG-Samsung-Ga...=item61d169b82a

How many you'll be buying in total? Is it made of plastic? Customs do impose tax on plastic related items, moreso if it is brought into Malaysia in big volume as anything plastic is deemed to be able to be produced locally. One or two pieces for personal use I think it's ok. As my earlier post highlighted that the USPS has upped its shipping rates early this year and purchase less that 600gm the shipping fes will be at least USD 20.00 flat and on 1st class international shipping without tracking no and without insurance. Therefore, it may be helpful to buy some other stuffs that made up to less than 600gm to leverage on the shipping fees.

If you're buying only 1 phone back case, you'll most probably have to pay as much for the shipping fees. Isn't it available locally? Low Yat Plaza may have something that fits your needs? I'm not a seller, so don't worry I;m not trying to do sales here, just sharing what I know ablut the shipping fees from US.

I'll only buy 2 units for my own use. Currently the case is not available in Malaysia, i also checked many top shops in KL and also at LYN garage sales. One more thing, previously forumer here had done bulk order from US and i tried to ask him about the process, fees and etc, sadly he is no replying. The case is made from rubber and hard plastic if i'm not mistaken. From what you said, minimum fees for this 2 items will be $20 which equals to RM60 right? other than this fees and price of that casing, is there any fees that i need to pay?

I'd believe 2 pcs for your own use should be ok, you won't get taxed not that you are buying a big box of the same thing, then Pak Custom will deem that you're buying it and selling later for profit. If pak custom hauled you up just say u need an extra pc in case it gets damage again. If you buy from ebay, the seller will charge you the "all in price" and nothing else, in your case I'd believe you're quite safe from pak custom, the purchase is for own use.

You may have to timbang the 2-pcs of back cases and sees what weight it comes to, if still way short of 600gm just look-see look-see whether you needed anything else from the same seller, or maybe you can ask your frens or family members anything they need to spread out the shipping fees. Hope my points here helps.

well, for ebay u can directly buy using paypal and wait for the posto. a lot cheaper than most item in garage sales here. lolololll tongue.gif
for amazon+vpost, u put the vpost address inside amazon billing, fill up your credit card info also there, buy the thing and wait for email from vpost. this email will inform u that the item already arrived at their dropbox(?) and they will quote u the price for shipping.. depending on the size and weight.

can also add insurance for the item, but very expensive.. i think it's not worth it. i also heard claiming the insurance in case of accident is a big PITA.

edit: i see u try to buy a case. i did this many time and no problem. sometimes more expensive than that also. if u got problem with the item, FIRSTLY DONT PUT NEGATIVE FEEDBACK!! just contact the seller to help u. In my exp, 95% of the time they will help u resolved it nicely.

Thank you very much bro. I am a bit confuse because the item that I want to buy can be shipping directly from US according to the ebay page. So do I still need to use vpost or just directly buy from ebay?

One more thing, as experience buyer from ebay and also experience in buying phone casing, can you please assist me on how much do you think the cost for overall including shipping if I use vpost. I think i dont want to buy the insurance because this item is not that expensive. If i manage to buy from they this time, i will surely buy more next time because price from ebay and amazon is very cheap compare to here.

Btw, this is the link if you feel like wanna help me. tqvm.

I always hear of >RM500 will have problems? Anyone got experience?

Or better to not ship them to KL because I really want to...

Thanks.

Depends on your luck sometimes, bulky is your package, description of the stated item and value of the item declared. Bought a few items before more than RM500 so far yet to have any problem.

For people who like to shop at Amazon, eBay, etc from USA, there is a way that u can shop and save on your postage cost. Basically, u rent a US Postbox, shop at Amazon and ship for free (when u buy > certain amount) to this USA Address and then re-ship back to MY or anywhere in the world for a lower fee compared to shipping directly from Amazon.

http://www.comgateway.com/CGW/common/com.c...ckStartGuide.do

I have tried it before. Buying some stuff from Amazon and shipping directly using Amazon normal mail would have cost me USD80 and priority USD90.

For the service above, their Normal Mail (which is equivalent in speed to Amazon Priority) is only USD59 and if u have OCBC Credit Card, u get a 8% rebate (USD55). The Shipment will arrive in about 1-weeks time from the day u request the USA Address to re-ship to your MY Address. They use DHL with tracking number. My Package is already in Hong Kong (I only requested for the item on Thursday evening) and due to arrive in MY tomorrow. Another 1 to 2 days for Customs, can reach me hopefully by Friday. still quite fast, about 7-days.

For my previous shipments, using Amazon Normal Mail would have cost me about USD50 and priority mail about USD60. The above USA Mail box re-forwarding cost me USD33 and arrived in about 1-week also

FYI, if u ship to SG, its even cheaper, almost 40% cheaper so if u have friends in SG, its probably cheaper i u ship to your contacts in SG and then ask them to re-forward to u in MY.

Hi, so you paid to CompGateway instead of Amazon?

If I have 3 items of books to buy from Amazon and the amount is say US30 which is eligible for free shipping, so this mean the shipping to my US address is free right? And I just need to pay the shipping from my US address to Malaysia right?

For the my first purchase, i saw this FREE LIVE QUOTE GUARANTEE promo code. This is only to purchase one item? I plan to buy 3 books/items, so that i can eligible for the Amazon free delivery.

Yes, if u order about USD30, Amazon will ship for free to CompGateway. With CompGateway, you can choose from all Vendors at Amazon, not just the Fulfilled.
by Amazon. There are many Vendors at Amazon who charge cheaper than Amazon even after the delivery charges of USD3.99 (or so) but these Vendors don't ship overseas but will ship to CompGateway.

What u need to do is to compare Amazon charges for delivery to MY against CompGateway. For Amazon, they do not have a 'Base Weight' for items like Books, DVD, etc but its based on Per Item, which is about USD5 per item. However, u should compare against Amazon's Priority Delivery Charge and not the Standard Delivery cos it takes up to 1-mth and there is No Tracking Number. Amazon's Priority Delivery is about 10-business days which is equivalent to CompGateway Standard which comes with Tracking Number.

But for CompGateway. there is a min base weight of 0.50 kg which is USD20.75 and 10% fuel surcharge and 0.65% for Insurance.

In a nutshell, if Amazon Priority Delivery is less than USD23, then u can use Amazon but if its more than USD23, you are probalbly better if using CompGateway..

FYI, this is also dependent whether Amazon sends your package together to CompGateway. Sometimes, if they break-up the deliveries, then u will have to pay more to CompGateway. To explain, say if Amazon send in one package and weights less than 0.50, you only need to pay USD20.75 + USD2.07 + Insurance.

But if Amazon breaks into 2 deliveries, u have to pay to CompGateway. USD20.75 + USD3.25 + USD2.40 + Insurance.

Hope u get what I meant. FYI, I ordered some items from CompGateway on Friday and the items arrived this morning. CompGateway. cvharged me about USD55 vs Amazon charges USD90. Got it in 5 days or only 3-business days. Very fast. This is my second shipment with CompGateway and both was good experience. They will reply my e-mails and the Live Quote was good. However, the Live Quote may not be accurate as Amazon may pack in a bigger box when u buy multiple items to protect the items thus increasing your shipping cost to be higher than the Live Quote.

If u use OCBC Credit card, u get 8% rebate from the Shipping Cost (exclude Fuel surcharge and Insurance). Very good deal. Very Happy for this service.

Hi cfa28, do you use "BuyForMe"? I notice that if use "BuyForMe", I need to pay extra 10% to ComGateway.

No, so far I have not used the "BuyForMe" service. I am not sure why someone would need the "BuyForMe" service as if you have a USA Address, most vendors would deliver to such a USA Address. Only if the Vendor does not want to sell perhaps to a foreign sounding name, then you would need the "BuyForMe" service. Prior to using CompGateway and using a MY Address, many Vendors at Amazon do not deliver to MY / Foreign Address but after using a USA Address. so far no issue for me.

cfa28, i have checked from http://www.comgateway.com/2012/red3.calculator.do

Just 2 KG, the shipping cost is already more expensive (US30) than my purchase cost (US25).

Are you sure it is cheaper to ship from ComGateway?

Hi Steve at 2 kg the charges from Compgates is

First 0.50 kg = USD20.75
Next 0.50 at USD3.25 * 3 = USD9.75

Sub-total = USD29.75
10% Fuel Surcharge = USD3.05
0.65% Insurance = USD0.22

Total = USD33.77

Like I said, you should compare against what Amazon charges.

I bought some items recently for about USD85 with a volumetric weight of 5.50 kg. Amazon changes for Normal Mail was USD80 and Express (equivalent to Compgates Normal) was USD90. I also bought some recent DVD from Amazon but I did not check what Amazon charged back. then. However, after clicking on the same number of Disc, Amazon would have charged me USD50+ for Normal Mail and USD60+ for Express vs Compgates USD35.

What u can do is just go back to Amazon or which website u want to buy and go all the way until right before you click on Proceed to see what are the delivery charges.

Go to Amazon, click want to buy, select a MY Address, it will calculate for you.

If Amazon cannot find your house address, use your office address. Or just use your GF / Brother / Fren address in MY that Amazon can find.

Also, when u click on the books / links such as

http://www.amazon.com/Investment-Valuation...swath+damodaran

Product Details

Hardcover: 992 pages
Publisher: Wiley; 3 edition (April 17, 2012)
Language: English
ISBN-10: 111801152X
ISBN-13: 978-1118011522
Product Dimensions: 7 x 1.6 x 10.2 inches
Shipping Weight: 3.6 pounds (View shipping rates and policies)
Average Customer Review: 3.5 out of 5 stars See all reviews (22 customer reviews)
Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #29,655 in Books (See Top 100 in Books)

Scroll down, the description is there. You can send the link to Compgates live quote. Just remember that their Live Quote may exclude fuel surcharge / insurance and if the Distributor packs in a bigger box, the cost may be higher. For my case the Live Quote gave a cost of USD45 but the actual cost was about USD50 cos of the packaging.

Frend, scroll all the way down. This is what I found:

Product Details

Paperback: 223 pages
Publisher: New Page Books; 1 edition (October 1, 2009)
Language: English
ISBN-10: 1601630905
ISBN-13: 978-1601630902
Product Dimensions: 5.2 x 0.6 x 8.3 inches
Shipping Weight: 10.4 ounces (View shipping rates and policies)

Average Customer Review: 4.0 out of 5 stars See all reviews (13 customer reviews)
Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #561,439 in Books (See Top 100 in Books)

10.4 ounces = 0.294835 hence at 0.50 kg.

Compgates will charge you USD20.75 + USD2.08 + USD0.15 = USD22.98

If you just buy this 1-book, Amazon charges are

Standard = USD9.98 (takes 1-mth to arrive with no tracking number)
Expedited (equivalent to Compgates Std) = USD19.98
Priority ((equiavalent to Compgates Express) USD35.98

If you refer to my earlier post, Amazon does not charge a base weight (like Compgates) and hence, if you buy just 1 or say up to 3 items, it may be cheaper than CompGates.

Amazon standard is up to 1-month (my case with no Tracking number). You should compare with Expedited for Apples to Apples cos my shipment from Compgates was within 1-week. and the second was 5-days

actually what do u mean by base weight?

Then I also notice that for comgateway, the shipping cost just now RM86.75 is actually based on 1.5 KG (rounded from 1.07 KG) and Not Included : Fuel surcharge, insurance, duties & taxes and domestic shipping (if any)

QUOTE(ngaisteve1 @ Jul 4 2013, 12:28 PM)

*
Base weight means the minimum charge for the first package regardless of its actual weight.

In case of Amazon, the charges for Expedited was USD19.98 and its based on number of items that you buy. Lets just assume that this item actually weights 0.30 kg

Now for Compgates and most other Courier, they go by Base weight of 0.50 kg and every increment of 0.50 kg. So, based on our calculation, Compgates will charge you USD20.75 + 10% Fuel Surcharge + 0.65% Insurance = USD22.97.

Now, say you decide to buy another smaller book from Amazon which weights say 0.18 kg and Amazon charges you another say USD14.99 for expedited, your total shipping cost would be USD19.98 + USD14.99 = USD34.97 but if Amazon packs the book nicely and together, the combined weight is only 0.48 kg and hence Compgates would only charge you USD20.75 + 10% Fuel Surcharge + 0.65% Insurance = USD22.97.

Even if say Amazon ships it separately, you will be charged USD20.75 (which the Base Weight for the first package) + USD3.25 (for the second package) + 10% Fuel Surcharge + 0.65% Insurance = USD26.58

If the package weights 1.01 kg, the weight charged will be 1.50 kg. its like Parking, pass 1 minute, they will charge you 1 hr. its the same for most courier, if you go to VPost which is a similar service offered but mainly for SG, first 0.50 kg and subsequent 0.50 kg

Hence, my earlier post that if Amazon charges are less than say USD20+, its cheaper to stick to Amazon but if Amazon is like already USD30+ and above, Compgates is probably cheaper. And again, you have to compare with Amazon Expedited.

Hope u understand what I am trying to say.

I think what Amazon charges is already all in, inclusive of Fuel Surcharge and Insurance. You can e-mail Amazon to confirm.

However, duties / taxes is another issue and if your items are taxable, the courier will inform you how much before paying to the customs and later collecting it from you. It will be the same regardless of Amazon or Compgates.

So far now. I try to keep my total cost CIF (meaning Cost, Insurance and Freight (shipping) below RM500. Above RM500 and for selected items are taxable. There is a tread at the Trade Resources Centre.

i bought one book from amazon before. shipping charges are charged together when you check out your order. i pick the normal cheaper shipping option, stated would arrived to malaysia 4-6 weeks. but arrived to my home only 2 weeks after purchase. wins! thumbup.gif

i guess you don't need to opt for the pricier shipping option brows.gif

I thought at comgateway, my charges is based on my 0.83 KG volume but actually they charge me 1.5 KG instead. Because 0.83 KG is actual weight but 1.44 KG is my Volumetric weight.

Volumetric weight depends on how bulky the package is. Larger packages have a higher volumetric weight. The actual weight of a package refers to how heavy it is.

Same here bro, my I ordered 4-boxes of Face Mask and I opted to ship it together. The actual weight was only 1.8 kg (rounded up to 2 kg) but cos I opted to ship together, the seller put in a very big boxes to contain all the 4-boxes of face mask. The volumetric weight came up to 5.5 kg and cost me gross USD22.75 more but when my package arrived, I could see why cos the large box was necessary to ship all 4-boxes together.

Perhaps next time, I will ship such boxes separately.

There is an option for re-packing which can reduce the weight but i think it needs at least 2 KG only can re-packing.

Repacking is only if your shipment came in a very large box and can actually be put in a smaller box. For mine, the 4 face mask side-by-side takes up too much space. No option to repack but cheaper to ship each box separately but in a shipment in hindsight

Halo.. I want to buy 2 identical items which costs 120myr in total from amazon.

the postage fee to msia is 60 in total.

fyi, both of my items costs more than USD 35

is it cheaper if I purchase through 3rd party service? Cuz u c, if I put my address to their address at USA,atm it is free shipping. Then they will charge me for sending it to msia.

fyi, idk what is the size and weight of the items.. Actually they are hair clay.

if it really takes so long to reach my doorstep, I don't mind at all. I want to cut down the expenses only.

Getting my stuff shipped via vPost UK. Unfortunately they don't offer consolidated packing for their European warehouse, so I had to pay two separate fees for the two items I bought! But I am not complaining, I am testing out the service anyway.

Next time I will try out other services that have an European address.
