Ok, I've been here for a while and most of the Amazon Global items don't ship here, nor to Singapore.
You guys have all mentioned companies that ship from US to Malaysia and so I will add my two cents.
I have used a couple services to ship Ebay and Amazon stuffs to me and can honestly tell you that I have not had a bad experience.
The pricing all seems the same though. I didn't really see a change in price from one guy to the next. (American eBox, Shipito, myusa)
Only two (American eBox, Shipito) of them repacked my stuff to reduce the shipping cost which was good.
And the website account page was probably the best with American eBox. It was easy to add shipments, and track. They also added pics of my stuff.
My personal preference is for American eBox - https://live.americanebox.com

Hi BB, thanks for the tip! It was helpful to know you used American eBox before and found them reliable.

I just received my package from Amazon USA
It was a tablet + matching case
Under Amazon there is a new seller called Amazon Exports and they have listed Malaysia as one of the place they will ship (mine was via DHL)

Just a FYI dont buy any 3G or 4G devices if not they will hold the items at customs and request that you show them your Sirim Import Permit for the device.

Other than customs should arrive within one week

did the item you bought got charge taxes??? or duties fee?

While i paid for shipping DHL at the online checkout (1 price) when it came to me there was a breakdown on it which showed Handling Fees, Taxes and Duties.
Guess DHL included it and paid for my behalf, but that was like 1 year ago so hard to remember everything

I bought a GPU and PSU from Amazon directly (Amazon Export Sales LLC).

On checkout, they say Estimated Import Fees Deposit $0.00

Does this mean I don't have to worry about paying the GST of 6%? Amazon will handle and pay it right?

Thanks!

Reviving old thread.
I'm trying to buy a GPU which is more than 450USD, whilst the item can be shipped to MY via AmazonGlobal.
link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I60OGUK/ref=wl...EM0JSXCKG&psc=1

Price: $458.85
Shipping: est. $29.17
Estimated Import Fees Deposit: 0.00

Let's say I've stated my MY shipping address, cleared the above payment using my credit card (around RM2020). Afterwards, does this mean I'll just need to wait for my parcel to reach the door? If not, what else do I need to pay?

Just wait til DHL/UPS call you that your tax is 10% + 6% GST, do you want us to settle for you (add another RM50) ?

Anything above RM500 (inclusive of shipment) will get taxed and yours is RM2020

DHL/ UPS will deliberately show your item to kastam in the hoping you will ask them to settle for them and pay RM50 to them and charge highest tax possible for kopi money to ketam.

Amazon handling charges, shipment and US export duty + DHL/UPS intentional declare to kastam + DHL settlement + actual ketam tax + GST

All the above make amazon the worst shopping experience to avoid at all cost.

If you still insist to buy for amazon, dont buy global shipment item if the overall cost is more than RM500

If more than RM500 use US ADDRESS SERVICE (recommend Ezipos by Post Malaysia https://www.ezipoz.my.post/ ) at least they don't show your item to kastam on purpose to get it taxed.

Which means that, for instance I use US address given by vPost, I pay for vPost's shipping and handling fees, they can "bypass" kastam and a very high chance that my item wouldn't be taxed?
Will definitely look into ezipos though.

If I'm not mistaken, you don't need to pay any extra fees.
Here's the statement from amazon.
"For AmazonGlobal items, you won't be charged additional fees if the actual Import Fees exceed the Import Fees Deposit we estimated."
Somemore, graphic card should falls under pc parts that's 0% duty/tax.

I see.
However what about our local customs? They will still charge a 6% GST out of my item right.
