You can look at BD-60's box, Panasonic has mentioned it at the box.

I can play both R1 and R3 DVD so I assume its region free and not locked to R3 only.

I am new to Blu-Ray and exploring on playing the disc in my pc. Since I already have 5.1 optical speaker, I am thinking to use my pc as entertaiment media.

For SATA Blu-Ray Re, can it set to multiple region? DVD last time can set regions.

software controls region playback.. BD drive doesn't make decision biggrin.gif

(edit, I meant for Blu-ray regions playback software controls it, for DVD region, still the drive's firmware)

DVD/BD Rom firmware in computer drives limits the region code. You can only change region code up to 5 times vmad.gif

it's just the matter of firmware. Blu-ray is still new stuff, just wait for the 3rd party firmware
