This the price Sony is paying for not participating early in the flat panel market. It became complacent and arrogant, resting on its CRT laurels.
I'm waiting for this giant to wake up and start taking the lead in flat panel innovation and start offering cool stuffs for its panels.
But I'm not holding my breath seeing how Walkman lost to iPod.

Well, lets just say that SONY has a few surprises up their sleeves just waiting to be unveiled. Yes, SONY lost out in the race of introducing both LCDs & LED TVs to Samsung but being the pioneer in introduction alone doesn't assure you the market if you ask me.

Yup, look how Sony got lost in the mobile entertainment gear - Walkman didn't evolve into iPod/iPhone.
And speaking of Pioneer, superb spec also doesn't guarantee the market. laugh.gif

finally saw LG's 200Hz today. their 200Hz is pure crap. Full with artifacts yet not smooth enough to convince me its a 200Hz.
o'really?
do u know what is the 50/50 S-LCD? How bout UV2A panel partnership with sharp?
