On one hand, the performance difference between the P55 and X58 chipsets isn’t very big; however, the new Core i7/Core i5 Socket 1156 processors will be a lot cheaper than the current Core i7 Socket 1366 models. The X58 chipset with a Core i7 processor is still Intel’s performance platform, but the P55 will be the good choice both in terms of price and performance while the high-end Socket 1156 Core i7 processors offer better performance than the low-end Socket 1366 Core i7 processors.

i see a forumer selling p55 board roughly at rm500++, sigh intel board always so expensive there is no northbridge in p55 n yet still as expensive as b4, i think i would go for phenom2 n save the rm200 to pump on 3dcard

I'l not go for a i5. The socket also is what was it? forgot.. hehehe.. Its similar to a Quad core with a P45 only its equipt with DR3. For me id rather go with a Quaddie 775 + a P45 + DDR3 rams for upgrades later. but for better upgrades better get a core i7 since i9 has the same socket.

i5 750 only RM 200 cheaper than i7 920. No point buying i5 than because it also can't future proof that well.
