1. count from the day you see them mating.. 16 days <-- estrous cycle
2. she gets a bit fatter especially tummy area
3. makes nest in one corner. <-- throw shredded kleenex inside and see what she does
4. sometimes hammies get a bit garang when they pregnant. doesnt like to be held.
5. eat more

please seperate the daddy immediately. you dont want to stress the mummy~ end up she will have difficulties giving birth.

my syrian just gave birth to i dunno how many pups...all seems to be healthy and their mom didn't seem to abandom them or worst-eat them(although she's a first time mom)...

I bought a Winter Gold hamster, still a newbie in hamster, I bought it with a pack of food(its in green color, pieces in ball shape and quite hard). I didn't buy the water bottle for it yet, should I do so? I put it in a temporary paper box, mineral water cap with water and food of course...any advise?

Corn and seeds not good? Hmm...my hamster enjoy eating the seeds.
