but disturbing their natural habit is not good. it will add up stress for them thus reduce their lifespan. but maybe if u do that since they were born might be a different case then since they are used to being awake in the morning & sleep at night since they were born.

Added on August 3, 2011, 11:25 pmoh if thats the case then better to separate them...u can try to play with both of them together...maybe after few weeks or 1month they might get along then try mixing them in the new cage. but u need watch out tho...fighting might occur anytime....if i were u i would just keep them in separate cages. its better than being sorry later.

depends on the hamster...maybe he likes a dark place & dont like the bedding smell? what paper btw? tissue paper? A4 paper?

what kind? pine? if its scented then he might not like that smell too.

i using chipsi...my hamster seems ok with it...i did a bulk purchase last week...got 3 big packet at home right now

usually they will do a good job in cleaning their fur them self. just dirty as in the bedding all over her fur? maybe she was bored so decided to dig dig everywhere. what bedding u using anyways? i use chipsi no problem also it dosent stick to hamster fur leh

hmm oily? not so sure....did u give anything different for the food? too much worms perhaps? my hamster last time his fur was quite wet coz he keep grooming...but that was long long time ago la...happened once only...

maybe that black patch is dry blood skin?

anyway give them sand bath...coz thats the purpose of sand bath...remove excess oil & clean their fur

actually dream is correct....since the 1st batch babies i wanted to say something already but i didnt...later people misunderstand me or something....

also need to consider things that might happen to the hamster...what if health problem, sick or fighting occurs etc....need to take to vet...so many hamster later how u want to pay since u cant even provide proper home for each of them. u cant just put minyak gamat all over them when fighting occur & dont take to vet expecting them to recover their self....thats just....sigh....

& yup gp needs pair but u can keep them solo tho...but then u need to pay more attention...let them out to play etc....also they poop like crazy

mark i went to PLC just now & asked about the vip card. they said they dont have such thing as show digi line & can get vip card

i bet they never even bite the mineral stones right? i find mineral stones useless la for my hamster...he never even bother grinding his teeth with that. its more better to get him apple wood...at least he try to grind with that for awhile...but then he will lose interest on that too... people buy expensive expensive but he use for awhile only...zzzz

this month spent too much d on hamster stuff....tank, bedding, litter, wheel, house hahahaha...

maybe try adding some WD-40 at your old wheel...lubricate it so less noise for temporary solution. but dont over spray it la since its chemical...or else u can use veg oil if u got...if u can disable it la...

like this sanko i was checking just now can disable it...add lubrication....& it comes with pre applied lub already
