QUOTE(Augus7 @ Jun 18 2010, 10:48 AM) Is it worth it to withdraw ASN and put into ASN2 since the ASN2 is gonna close? Can get fast dividen with this way but is worth it? ASN2 not closed forever, it is closed till the month end for the dividend calculation, will reopen in 1st July. This post has been edited by cheahcw2003: Jun 18 2010, 12:50 PM

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jul 20 2010, 12:11 PM) What do you mean ? Please elaborate further. from 1st of July onwards, you cannot pledge ASB certificate to any banks to apply OD under individual name. It can only be done under sole proprietorship's name. For OD/ASW, totally banned, as started from 1st July, ASW cannot be converted to certificate form already, only in passbook form.

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jul 20 2010, 04:33 PM) Any reason they are doing this ? They expect the return of PNB funds can no longer cover the interest charged from banks in the future ? i guess many Bumi do not know how to operate the OD, they do not serve OD on time and force the bank to liquidate the ASB Certificate, PNB need to endorse and unendorse all the documents and it makes all messy. So now OD only open to businessman, PNB think those can manage their sole prop biz can manage the OD line. But Term Loan for ASB still running. OD against ASW stopped already as many manupulate using the OD facility to reinvest, PNB want the investor to invest from ther own money, i guess

QUOTE(netcrawler @ Aug 9 2010, 03:10 PM) Bonus for ASW this year is 6.35%. Only 0.5% better than last year. I would have expected more since economy is on track of recovery and small market bull run. PNB is the biggest shareholder of Sime Darby, SIme Darby make big lost this year, so it affects the return....

They are going to distribute the dividend and all dividend will be reinvested. so it will be easily fill the left over RM0.9bil with the dividen distribution. QUOTE(smartinvestor01 @ Aug 23 2010, 05:22 PM) Soul2soul, have u have an existing account for AS1M before? If you have opened before, and now you are an existing accountholder, you might have chance to top up your investment.. I was thinking about trying my best to top up as many as i can before the mid of September, which i expect the dividend will be issued. When you want to top up, straight away go to the counter/teller, dont ask the front desk become they will confirm to tell you sold out sometimes even if its still available.. ^^ the AS1M fund allocated for chinese is RM3bil, as long as someone sells then u can buy. Same as for ASW, ASM....

QUOTE(smartinvestor01 @ Aug 24 2010, 12:03 AM) Yape, you are right, as long as there is someone selling, there will be opportunity for buying.. But too bad, the banks tellers are the first to know, and they are the first to have the advantage to buy compared to us.. dont worry, the fund size for ASW is RM14bil, sometimes within an hour can have few big withdrawal, bank tellers are just salary earners, they are not able to sapu all the fund that available from time to time. My friend's uncle left his ASW book with one of the bank's teller, and he is able to accumulate 6 digits of units into his ASW account within few months time. QUOTE(smartinvestor01 @ Aug 24 2010, 02:46 PM) Wow, your friend's uncle might be a very high income earner.. Anyway, its true that there would be a few big withdrawal expectable.. Nah...he is a retirees, instead of letting his $$ sitting in the FD, so he transfer some to the ASW as and when there is an availlability. Added on August 24, 2010, 4:12 pmQUOTE(vergas @ Aug 24 2010, 12:35 PM) Once you hit, 200k, ask the teller to check how much left you can invest. The system actually separate between capital, dividend and bonus. Tha cap 200k is for Capital only. So you may still able to invest more if you hit 200k. Just beware, lots of bank teller may be lazy to properly check the system and just answer mak 200k. I kena before. True enough, i was told the same, but if u r a new account (less than 1 year) still cannot pump in more money, how far u can go beyond 200K depends on how long u had been maintaining the account....i have come accorss one depositor has > 500K in his ASB account This post has been edited by cheahcw2003: Aug 24 2010, 04:12 PM

QUOTE(mikecrush @ Aug 26 2010, 04:01 PM) i bought this one last year when it first came out matured on 8th August this year and still nothing . no news on the dividend / distribution amount . since PNB states ( Tahun Kewangan Berakhir 30 September ) then wait for 30 sept for it to be announced . more info :http://www.asnb.com.my/as1msia.htm anyone else bought this ? there is no maturity of the AS1M. If their financial year end is 30 Sept, means they will annouce the dividen prior to that and will be credited to your account on 1st Oct, just bring your AS1M passbook to update with any agent on or after 1 Oct.
