what in your mind made your concern !

My question was "Is it a wise move to sell 3,000 Maxis shares to buy 2,000 Maybank shares?"
Almost same amount invested but Maxis dividend was 32 sen last year and Maybank dividend was 55 sen last year.

your only concern is the dividends? i mean the reason for this move.

you gotta decide which industry, risks and etc.....
it's more than just dividends, at least to me.

Yes. It is dividend.
Instead of putting the money in the FD, put in Maxis or Maybank for long term.

Yes. Both also can go either direction.
That is why I am asking is it wise to switch.

This is a tough choice. Nothing is certain. Both can go either way. 2015 seems to be rough year for us. MYR dropped. Commodity prices dropped .....In such environment, which is defensive? You have to decide.

Those who kept their IPO shares after deducting all the dividends received now have the cost of about $2.84 per share.

The 4qtr saw improvement from the past quarters - an indication of better times ahead. If you take the financial yr as a whole, then u won't see improvement since the past qtr results declined. I think that is what the press reported.
